i read on icmag people are saying that has colombian or afghan.. where are people getting this aside from experience? is there a thread or a book other then the big book of buds?

We go by the genetics of origination
After growing (and researching) specific lineages you will be able to see 'Thai" and 'Mexican' and 'Afghan' in the plants.
Then, you'll be able to distinguish certain traits in hybrids. For example, Afghan imparts dark colored leaves
