Books on breeding.....

Morning all

Thought there'd allready be a thread on breeding books but the search couldn't come up with anything

Ok I'm looking for decent books on breeding :wink:

So far I'm wanting to get DJs Book, the Cannabis Botany one or whatever it's called and BGs book once it's out.
I've also found "The Cannabis Breeder's Bible: The Definitive Guide to Marijuana Varieties and Creating Strains for the Seed Market" anyone know if that's any good?

Any one care to recomend any others?

Hi Alex,
Ya know, I was thinking the same thing this morning.
I've got Dj's book, Robert Connell Carke's MJ Botany, and Greg Green's Breeder's bible, plus a heap of others. But the above-mentioned books are all good reads. I would reccommend them all, I am definatly not a breeder, though, so other, more experienced people might disagree with me.
I also got Soma's book the other day and there's some good info on breeding in there. And I've gotta say Greg Green's Grower's Bible is one of the best grow books I've ever read.

The "The Cannabis Breeder's Bible" book is the follow up to the one you have I think so should be good. The MJ Botany is the other one I meant.

Wanted to get Soma's boog anyway but didn't list it here as I didn't know it had any breeding tips, now I know I'm doubly keen

Rob Clarkes MJ botany is an excellent book..i highly recommend it
Im also lookin for other books to read on breeding.

No probs, always glad to help.
I think you might have misunderstood e, though.
I have Greg Green's breeders AND growers bibles and they are both excellent.
I just mentioned the grower bible earlier cos it was such a good book.

I'd say marijuana botany by robert connell clarke is a great book on
breeding,I always refer to it whenever I have any questions, plus it's easy to understand even for begginers.

RC clarke....im sure im not the 1st to mention it.... DJ Shorts got one called called Breeding Exceptional cannabis....

Sure there's lots of good info in The Cannabis Breeders Bible/ Grow Bible 'cause greg green got ALL of it from other grow books but mostly from overgrow.com. GG is strawdog here and at OG and didn't even grow his first pot plant until 2001 and never bred anything. Oh yeah, there's also lots of bad info mixed in with the good. Personally, I'd choose another book on principle alone!

Giggle I noticed and had a problem with that too. I didn't think it was a good read at all to be honest, at least not compared to Clark's book.

RC Clark is the only breeder's book that I have and it's great!
