bong cleaner

I use isopropyl alcohol to get the gunk off but there are always a few lines where the water has evaporated and left hard water salt lines that I cannot clean. I got some calgon for my washing machine to remove limescale from hardwater that I have. It cleaned my bong like new. I used a whole tab but I reckon half or quarter would do fine. :):)

Forget toxic cleaners. Citric acid found in lemons will get rid of hardwater scale. :tiphat:

It is used to remove and discourage the buildup of limescale from boilers and evaporators.
You can buy pure citric acid online and it's used in candy making to give those sour candies their taste.

A solution with a six percent concentration of citric acid will remove hard water stains from glass without scrubbing.

Comfortably numb!
alcohol and epson salt (salt acts as a scrubber, as salt won't dilute in alcohol) and, shake, shake shake :) Woila :)

Add salt to the alcohol and there's nothing it won't clean. I let my pipes and bongs get real real dirty before cleaning and ISO and SALT always do the trick.

I've been to every pharmacy in town, most grocery stores and iso alcohol is still sold out. Sorry, but you won't catch me using that stuff in my pipes.

If you can't get iso alcohol. You can use a little 40% vodka to do the same.
In fact, the ethyl alcohol in vodka is safer than iso alcohol.

If you search for citric acid online you'll see it isn't that expensive.
It's also useful for cleaning stainless steel cookware and silverware. :)

The commercial and concentrated form of those citrus bong cleaners found in head shops can be found in Zep citrus degreaser. I use it undiluted and it lasts for 6 or so month of
elbow-grease free cleaning. I put my glass pieces in a barbershop sterilizer jar each night and when I pull them up in the morning I give them a good rinse under a warm tap and they are as good as new.
