Hello all. I'm starting back up. With the guidance of some of the mentors around here, I have decided to goto soil. I germed three of Bog's Lifesavers and three of TRC's BlackIndiglow. I p/u the Bog seeds @ SD . As far as the TRC seeds, those were a gift from a very good friend. This place is just filled with great karma. Lifesaver is a kick ass strain no matter what pheno but if your chosen, the "purple menthol" pheno is heads above the others.imho

The TRC offering is one to watch for sure. I have had the pleasure of growing a few of those Texas boys strains with nothing but stellar, incredible results.

So far the two LS are doing great- the BlackIndiglow from TRC is right behind. Tonight was a great night. I had an excellent visit with two great teachers and was given a clone. I'm not sure what exactly the clone is but hopefully with this grow someone may be able to help identify it! Then as if the night was not good enough, another phone call. A friend had three Super Skunk babies looking for a home. I was more than happy to help the cause anf take them. I'm not sure if I am setting myself up to deal with a crowded closet but my intentions are to begin a 12/12 cycle in the next week and a half. I have been using a quart container for feeding. Right now only a tablespoon of Earth Juice Grow and a teaspoon of Thrive Alive B1. I have watered with this mix on two consecutive days and the plants are standing tall. The mystery clone is being treated with neem oil as it had slight spider mite signs and is on the up and up. This baby looks great. I'm fascinated to see what it will turn out to be. I hope to have you all along for the ride.

Hey guys. I coincidentaly weasled my way into some lifesaver today. It has only been down for about 10 days so hasnt had a real chance to chron out yet. I have smoked a couple joints of her but am not totally impressed yet. BOG says she will "cure what ails ya" and she definalty will do that because the high is for sure there. Im just into the taste myself. Anyhow, she is a big yeilder so that is a plus. My colleige, grew her with a top cola the size of a football. 3 ounces off one plant I beleive. Anyhow, enjoy the dank and happy growing!

Boink: Whats up buddy. Thanks for stopping by. I'm using pro-mix soil from worms way. its soilless and is completely nute free. CC's taught me that its better to be in control of what the plant needs as apposed to having a surplus in the soil. This surplus, of course, is going to ruin the taste and burn. When you smoke CC's bud you know its clean of nute's cause the ash is white as snow. I just smoked some bud that left a briquette in my bowl! One solid black charcoal nug that ended up tasting like shit the more and more I smoked it. Now, the smell in the bag was dank, it was coverd with trichs out the ass and it looked real good. Without smokin' it you wouldn't of had a clue how bad it would've smoked. Ya know the yeild may not be as much but another important lesson I've picked up is that quality of smoke far supercede's the weight of the bag. Boink, I know you know what the hell I'm talkin about! Bluethunder had me chokin'! I'm going real light on the nutes and am only feeding them once a week with barely minimal nute in the mix. The temp is amazingly staying steady @ 75 with the light on and 68 with the light off. At what temp's do you begin to see transformation in the color of leaves? Anyways...I've been on 18/6 for two days now and am switching to the 12/12 cycle and over to the 440 hps bulb. I'm gonna have to deal with higher temps so the extra two fans will be running! I think it'll jump almost 10-15 degrees w/o the extra fans. I've bent the hell out of my babies and am seeing excellent results. CC's talks about filling in the open spaces and continuously filling and filling each opening. I've got a super-sativa SD thats gonna wanna reach the stars but I'm bending it over and over itself. I'll have pics on it tonight for sure. The three super skunks are doing excellent as well. I am developing a flater plane of fan leaves which is ultimitely what i am trying to achieve. I'm using schich-ca-bob sticks with twist ties to bend 'em over and keep 'em down. They keep twistin' over and stretching upwards. In about two/three weeks these guys are gonna be exploding! I have some sad news but I must "remove" the LS and BlackIndiglow seedlings. Its ironic that the strains that this thread was based on is being replaced. Sometimes you must sacrafice one thing for the benifit of the whole. Well Pics will be next. I just smoked some White Rhino and I'm ramblin' huh! hey kasa and steel- thanks for stoppin by. unfortunately i had to pull the lifesaver. I am however smokin some excellent sativa LS. My good friends product.

I'm still bending away. learnin the hard way i must admitt. I've broken a few branches and have got 'em lookin like their going in all directions. One of teachers assures me their good and they'll ve exploding soon. I transplanted the four plants ( 1 SD-3 SS ) into 2.5 gallon pots. they were in 1 gallon pots but they were showing roots through the bottom. exciting. alittle pb grow and thrive...i went to 12/12 but was told to keep no bloom nutes in the feed and continue with very light veg nutes for the first week and a half. i also put the plants right on the floor of the closet. the temp is higher @ about 81. the temp of the thermostat in the house plays a huge role in the temp of my closet. humidity is about 24-30%. Ideal I guess. I'm still trying to get the water and feed patterns down. once they start sucking down more water i think it'll be easier to regulate and time it. ill keep you all updated. I need to get a camera that can take nice pics soon. i cant wait to be taking bud shots!!!! Later OH

Did you see that bent plant in FPN? In the Growing Tips article. This is the result of a successfuly broken neck. Imagine if I hadn't bent it - that branch would be way too high, now it's at the same height as the others That's the idea right there... It takes some time and patience, but it's worth it.
