Bogglegum Harvest: 1 down, two to go

Hello all...

I've been posting various pictures throughout the different stages of this grow in many different forums, so if you haven't been following, I'm not upset...

The following pics are of my bogglegum girls, in their 8th week of flowering. They've been budding up under a 1000w HPS, and were under a 1000w MH during their 5 weeks of veg. I started out with six plants, ended up with three females, two males, and one hermie. Yesterday, around 4 or 5 in the afternoon, I finally managed to sneak a peek at the elusive trichomes on my three girls. One of them (one of the two smaller, compact, yet more orange plants that were residing in my grow) had its fair share of amber and cloudy triches, so I gave it the chop. There are some pictures of it hanging in the close to dry, just over 24 hours after being cut down. I plan on trimming all excess leaves and cutting down to the bud tomorrow night.

The other two plants (one of which is much fatter, with a different bud shape and smell, while the other is similar to the recently harvested phenotype) are getting there, and I estimate they'll be taken down by the weekend.

looks great nice looking plants look as if you ahd a great sog strain on your hands... i have a huge klozit filled with bogglgum and im really stooked on the large yeilds..nice looking buds be sure to include dry bud shots when you can

Swerve...thanks for the compliments, man! Bogglegum is a great grow, very easy to handle and basically self-sufficient. I hardly had to do anything, just feed, water, and occasionally move 'em around. You're in for a treat!

When these bitches dry, I'll be sure to go camera crazy...I'm thinking of quick-drying this plant, and curing the rest of it, as I'll probably sell a little to make back my deposit...when it dries tho, I won't let you down.

I'm hopin' they'll knock my socks off, that's what I need these days! Haha but all the samples taken have just been more and more potent, so I imagine this'll be rediculous

lookin pretty damn dank! it looks like you dont like manicuring before drying? them fan leaves you have on there can be cut away, theyll just make the bud take longer to dry. happy harvest dude

i must say that looks like a good strain i have been wanting some Bogglegum but seeing as there are so many problems and rumers going on with the Bog genetics @ SB being genuine or not i guess i will have to wait it out...

Makavellian - I'm lettin' em dry before I cut off the fan leaves, which I'm actually about to do...

ColoraDro - It is a good strain! There is nothing wrong with BOG's genetics, nothing at all! Except that they're going out of stock, b/c he's stopped breeding for now...If my input means anything in your decision, I would tell you to go for it, 100%! LSD and Lifesaver look real good, so you should try those. They're standard seeds tho, so you'll end up with male plants. Good luck bro!

9Lives - Haha thanks man...I was noticin' that shape too, I just thought it looked more like a dildo!

It did come as a bit of a shock when BOG decided to leave us, and now that I've grown out his genetics, I'm very sad as well...it sucks that people are continually startin' shit with and about the very people that make this lifestyle exist...I dont know about you all, but I'm in this just to grow and smoke chronic, not to make drama

It was truely a sad day when he decided to leave this place, but I can assure you he ain't retired and Sour Bubble 4 is on it's way

Stan - thanks for the link, I appreciate that...I already posted there, and am awaiting some responses. I've been following your grow, and you might find it pleasing to know that your success really pushed me over the edge to try Bogglegum...how are those clones doing, btw? Check out my two phenos up there...I had one that was much bigger than the rest, with a HUGE main cola, and different bud structure. The other two had more orange hairs, smaller buds, and a much different smell. Did you get those two phenos?

The clones are just fine thanks, although untopped they're starting to throw out
multiple tips just like mum
I think you'll find the bigger plant with the larger main cola is the Northern Lights
pheno. Does it have less of an odour than the other girlz, somewhat piney? If so , and I'm right you're in for a real blast. All the phenos I grew out were great, the other you speak of is more Bubblegum, and smells kinda funky, real mouthwatering stuff

Really? That's what I was thinking as well...it does smell a bit piney, you're right about that...the other two are more fruity than this, but are smaller and don't have this massive main cola. I'm really looking forward to smoking all of it, especially the NL. I've been taking samples, but my drying method has been more than harsh to the bud, leaving it with a much degraded taste...I'm extremely excited to smoke and savor some properly dried, even cured Bogglegum. What I have smoked has been great nonetheless, leaving me sandblasted after several rips. I can only imagine what the finished product will do...
