BOG Retraction and Apology

Just wanted to correct something I said a while back about how FriendlyFriend was made a mod.

I didn't remember that I had suggested him as a good candidate for mod status. In fact I stated that I was also surprised when such a new member was made a mod. In fact DG reminded me while in Amsterdam that I had indeed advised her and gypsy that he would be a good mod.

Never intended to pass the buck and I was certainly wrong about this one. A few others were also suggested by me but so far they have all been pretty good so forgive my bad judgement in this case. I also recommended Dr. Jay may he R.I.P. and be remembered as what a mod can be.

In the future we will all take longer to let someone gain so much trust. We live and learn something everyday. BOG

Oh Dg and Gypsy forgave me but did mention it and I'm glad they did because I am the one wanting to trust people to quickly. I have the motto to extend trust should get the same back but not everyone is honorable so we should be careful. BOG

I misrepresented the facts and even though they didn't ask me to do this I wanted to Fredster. We should own up to our mistakes and never try to pass the blame. That was never my intention consciously but I did conveniently forget a pertinant detail making it look like I had nothing to do with the whole damn thing. So it is just right to make this known because the truth is what we want.

My excuse is that I smoke a lot of shit like my Lifestar here... BOG

The only thing you were guilty of BOG is the very thing that we all love about you and that is the fact that you always look for the best in people, while sometimes not seeing their flaws. There is no reason to apologize for this BOG as this is another fine example of the wonderful karma that you exude. It is certainly not your fault that someone took advantage of your wonderful karma and, consequently, misled a lot of people. I would hate to see you change the way you deal with people. Instead of treating people with the love, caring and respect that you do to become more questioning and less trusting would only serve to allow FF to win yet again. We love you just the way you are, BOGster!!

I won't stop hoping for the best because you must extend some trust in order to make friends. I won't let any negative experience taint my nature but the lesson for us all is to follow our intuitions. A red flag had gone off right away with this fellow at the start but I ignored my intuitions giving him the benefit of the doubt.

It takes a big person to recommend a person to a responsible position. It takes a bigger person to admit they were incorrect in doing so. In this case deception and misrepersentation on the part of FF is not your fault. People here as well as any where can portray themselves as anything they want you to believe they are. Just about every time given enough rope they eventually hang themselves or prove to be worthy of their responsibility. No need to ask forgiveness in this case. Just mark it up to a continueing learning experence but DON'T LET IT CHANGE YOU. Much respect for you from where I sit.

Thanks because it was an honest mistake. He pm'd me about everyday asking how I was and being so nice. He was a model member and moderator for awhile but this was clever this time. Sometimes I wonder where the energy to put one over on a crowd comes from. I would get no joy from it but perhaps there is one in every crowd.

As Gypsy says the admin trys its best to make good judgements and to try and eliminate problems but some get away on you. Just be careful with who you trust in a setting like this because as Crazy Composer said once to me. "It takes years to trust someone online." Doesn't mean you can't like a new friend but meeting someone in person helps. It doesn't insure you won't be conned by someone you thought a friend but it makes the intuitions more effective. BOG

Just stay safe and loving...we all deserve respect.

He will get what he deserves when the time is right no matter how far he runs.
