BOG Lifesaver.... HELP!!

I think that I must be doing something wrong, the soil may be too strong or I just don't know. Can someone who has grown this strain tell me how they got them to sprout? I have had 100% germination rate 8 out of 8, but none of them have come out of the soil:(

I am placing the germinated seeds right into the sam's choice soil with no blood or bone meal. I have them under 80 watt floral, I place a plastic bag over the tops of the cups to increase humidity, but nothing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am about to try and germinate my last 2 seeds.

HELP!!

Make sure you are not putting them to far down in the soil. I usually put them about a half inch down. Also make sure to cover them lightly with soil, as not to pack the soil down on top of the hole with your seedling in it. Hope this helps. By the way I am currently working with lifesaver.

Loosen that Sams soil up with some perilite or coco or worm castings or some vermiculite. Those premixed potting soils are prone to compaction. You want a loose loamy medium to allow the sprout to show and to give the roots somewhere to spread out to. How long did you give the first 8 to show? I've given up on some seeds that surprised me a week AFTER I gave up on seeing a sprout.

Man i also had some badluck, but due to too strong soil. Lifesaver is a very nice plant to grow and keep. I use 40%perlite and60%seedling soil. Water them daily.

good luck

How long since planted?

How long since planted?

Dig around and find them to see if they are growing ok. Always plant shallow indoors and the soil is fine. Don't worry sunnyside as I back up my seeds. :) BOG

Nothing popped. 12 in, nothing out:( Oh well, my leda una and bubble gum are about ready to be harvested, so I guess that I shouldn't complain. But if there is anyone in LV that has a clone, let me know.

I was wondering myself. I started 6 WR Nirvana and 6 Lifesaver. All the WR came up and one died. Only one of the Lifesavers came up. It lived. I dug through the soil and most were were just unopeded seeds, but too soft at my attempts to get them to sprout. and a couple got the tail and died. I still have 6 more I will
grow them with the upmost care.

Lifesaver Germ Rates

Of course less then 50% germination gets replacement but let me try to help. Some Lifesavers have very hard shells due to the fast flowering component that expects weather to be harsh. These seeds need extra soaking sometimes and take a bit longer to germinate but they are hardy fresh seeds in most cases.

I have found that a second wetting may be needed before they pop and that warm temps speed up this process. If a seed takes too long to start up growing it can easily rot. BOG :)

No fear cause BOG Seeds are here and we back up our seeds...
