BOG Lifesaver almost done!

Hi all

I am growing some Lifesaver right now and am almost done and was wondering if you could give a few tips on when to harvest. My setup is 400W HPS, 7L pots grow soil(from grow shop with guano, perlite and all that good stuff) Ferts I am useing Terra Vega and Terra Flores both from Canna and some PK 13-14 for the last month or so. The plants look wonderful, frosty all over even on fan leaves. For the last few days the leaves have been drooping a little, I think this is from the high heat I have had recently (+30C outside temps) the closet I grow in was never warmer than 29C in the first weeks of flower for the last week or so it was 31-35C (depending on outside temps) the plants seem fine, just a little droppy. I am on day 47 of flower, the thrichs are maybe 60-70% cloudy. I was thinking of starting to flush with pure water for the next 8-10 days or so and then give them 3 days of darkness before they meet their maker.

I would love to show you some better pictures but my digicam died on me. Here is what I have...

Anyone got some tips on how much longerI should let them go?

Thanks!!

The only true method of judging when to chop is close inspection of the trichomes using a small microscope, or magnifying glass. Then it's just a case of what you want from them. From my experience BOG's suggested flowering times usually need another 5-10 daze to get a good amount of amber trichomes, but of course it's all down to personal preference.

If you don't have a scope then you'll need to judge from the pistils, I find so long as say 70% have turned in colour then you won't be far out.

edit; And your plants look great by the way :canabis:

as stan said the trics here is a chart to use as a guide

i personally use this to check trics http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...e&kw=illuminated+microscope&parentPage=search

i take the very tip of a tric covered leaf on the nug in question take a snipit from top middle bottom of nug, place these snipits on a white peice of paper and inspect a whole new world just opened up after your focused. check each sample good, remember unless you afforded the lowers light during flowering the tops allways finish before the bottoms. after the tops nugs are cut if ya can wait few days to 1 wk then cut bottoms they will really fatten up

I know when to look at trichs and I have the Radio Shack microscope! I am more looking for people that have grown this strain and when they harvested. Thanks Maj pothead
