the other day a jolly good chap dropped a couple of very nice looking Bluetiful buds in my lap. we smoked one together, he left me the rest to enjoy at my leisure. i must say i am truly impressed by this strain. i really only like strong tasting cannabis and my mate knows this. but jeebus that bluetiful just reeks! i love it! real strong sativa flavored with an indica high.
the name is so aptly chosen, as you smoke it trying to find words to describe the taste, you keep coming back to a blueberry taste. with a hint of that typical Haze flavor in it too.
its a very complex kind of taste to try and describe.
the dry buds are quite dark, kind of blue. specially the longer cured bud of the two he gave me. the slightly fresher bud still had a tad of green (chlorophyl) left in it. this gave it a silvery hue.
trichome size is medium to large, probably more on the large size from the fresh bud shots i remember. very densely covered in trichomes.
calyxes are a nice size too. one can see that they were swollen ripe at harvest.
these buds were grown totally organic in a earth a coco mixture, with only bio nutes.
when i pick of a couple of calyxes and crush them or chop up some bud for a spliff i get all the smells that it tastes of, with that smell of concentrated trichomes too. its a sweetness some how, or maybe a fruitiness. it has something of the strain Grapefruit when you smell the bag.
anyway many compliments to the grower of this bud. he said it was rather low yielding which is typical isn't it? some of the real nice strains often don't make massive buds. it's not quite always the case though luckily. and in cases such as this its irrelevant anyway lol. quality before quantity, yep.
anyway give me a moment to get some pics up of my last spliffs worth lol.
peace out
Edited to add:
shot by the grower of the Bluetiful just before cutting day.
