I used to can my herb a few years ago, its a great idea for longterm storage. I will post the link on where i bought my canner and cans. The 8oz. cans store up too 1/2 oz of cured herb.
I understand the appeal of canning if the stuff is getting shipped around, but is there some reason that canning is superior to jarring for personal storage? When you open the can back up, won't there be trace amounts of metal shavings? You can avoid metal to metal contact entirely with jarring (as long as you use a sheet of wax paper in between the lid and the screw-top.
I have no idea what the history of the tuna kush is but I know that most of it is grown hydro by a group of dudes and some of it isn't very kushy and its definitely not all the same strain. That being said it's usually on the upper end of the commercial spectrum, especially the tuna that went around just a few months ago, that was really kill stuff but still not what I would call a true 'kush'. I don't have any connections with these guys I just get stuff through a guy I know who gets it from them before they can it but they still just call it tuna kush. I had heard they had some blueberry sativa they were canning so I guess this might be what you have abz420? I hadn't heard anything about it for a while and was wondering if it was still around so I was stoked to see your smoke report, feel free to shoot me a pm man as I take it your from the lowermainland?
oh yah and I forgot to add that you pay a premium for the can haha, last I heard I think the cans (which have a half-o inside) go for like 160... definitely worth it for the quality though as its grown well and is most likely available in areas of canada where that level of bud usually isn't found.
K9 won't be able to smell it through the can, but unless the person that canned it completely sterilized their hands or changed latex gloves between every can, they will be able to smell mj on the can.
if seriously interested in sending in a can. it should be vacsealed before putting in the can. and yes gloves need to be changed frequently and cans wiped down and washed.
anyone who knows where ppl. can get a can sealer for homeuse? can only find for big firms, if anyone find one please send a PM. Could be fun to have one, allways trying to improve my food on fun ways ;D thought about Can with crystal caviar, and when you open it "smoke" well steam out of it.. Chef student here
