Bleachy whites blotches on fan leaves?

I'm seeing some of these bleachy white splotches on some leaves on some plants. Under greenhouse, low sun, 100 gal soil pot, 7 ft tall plant, using GH Flora Series and some compost tea for feeds, feeding every other watering. Preventative spraying with Nuke-Em, murdering caterpillars with "Safer" brand spray (only used that once). We have noticed caterpillars on a few plants. Got fans going along the top of the greenhouse to cycle air in and out. Its only sunny from like 11 to 5 and never gets above 95 degrees. On some of these spots the leaf also browns and curls up as shown in photos. Any ideas people? Ever seen this before? My guess is some chemical that got on the leaves. :thank you:

That look a bit like leaf rust, but dried out.. Be it bacterial or fungal I don't know. The white areas are where whatever treatment you have been doing is killing the active rust, the brownish areas is where the rust already did its thing. Someone else may have a better clue, but that's what I see from my experience.

My thought is that perhaps these spots are where some of the spray could have collected and taken awhile to dry off? Have any sprays you've used had copper in them? If so that would create a phytotoxic effect when used with any other oils like neem.

On a side note it looks like you have some slight thrip damage on a couple of your fan leaves. I would use spinosad in your IPM rotation if you aren't already.

Who dat is is right about spraying copper within a couple weeks of spraying neem.... Toxic to plants....

Nope, we have used Nuke Em (citric acid), and Safer caterpiller killer (bacillus thuringiensis var Kurstaki -- 98.35%)
What is thrip damage, what are you seeing as a symptom? And what is spinosad?

Thanks

I've been doing a bunch of research about spinosad based pesticides. The label states that for many vegetables and fruits, you should only spray 6 times a year. It also has a host of different minimum time lengths for spraying before harvest. Do you know if spinosad is safe on flowering buds?

either you sprayed something on your plants and it collected on the leaf in the hot sun. or you have root damage. did you spray your plants recently? i did the same thing the other day...it was cloudy thought it was gonna rain, sprayed everything down, then sun comes out full blast. thought everything was dry before that, but woke to a buncha burned up leaves next day.

We have been spraying often but always in the evening after the sun goes down. Root damage huh. I sure hope not. theyre in 100 gal pots, we water them every other day, sometimes a 2 day break in between. I dont think the new growth is showing signs of this but ill check.
