Bleaching aways a bad thing?

I'm wondering if bleaching, usually by getting light too close to the plants, in this case LEDs, is always bad if only during the last week of flower only. Logic might say those trichomes that have bleached and died and therefore that's bad. But on the other hand those trichomes were already cloudy to amber and finished anyway. So is any bleaching during the last week of growth on those tops that have grown through the Scrog screen really detrimental? Or just less aesthetic?

Depends if you are selling or for own use. Bleaching occurs as plant is stressed. It's like over baked cookies or cake....still tastes good but appearance is lacking.

Next time use LST, SCROG measures and keep LED at a safe distance (usually 18") above plants.

18" is way too close for some of these big panels.

Anything closer than 24" with my HLG600 and I quickly have serious issues. And the plants seem more comfortable closer to 30".

We have 800w several 1000w at 18-20". No problems. Imagine cob may be different.

At the moment I have a few tops that are literally getting fried because they’re about three inches away from the 1000 watt air cooled hood
