Trying to help a buddy out and have idea what to tell him. He brought home a dozen clones from another grower only to find mites & eggs all over 3 of them. He washed the leaves with cold water to remove as many of the buggers as he could, then things got ugly...
He decided to take a break from working on the girls and medicate. When he was done smoking down he decided to make a neem oil solution to dunk the kids in. He got some cold dechlorinated water from the basement and warmed it up on the stove thinking that the neem oil would dissolve better. After making "neem soup", he dunked each clone for a few seconds then put them under a small CFL light in quarantine. When he poured out the soup, he realized that it was way hotter than he wanted, probably 110-120 degrees (remember, he's stoned while doing this). The next morning he checks on the kids and their leaves are toast. He must have blanched the poor buggers something fierce.
Now he's asking me if they can be saved, and I have no idea. Theoretically the roots should be fine, not sure about the main stem. Should he leave them alone and hope that new growth takes over, or should he remove the cooked leaves first? Or is this just wishful thinking - should he just throw them in the garbage and consider it a total loss?
