Blackening, leaf curling, yellowing

Hi all,

The blackening started about 2 - 3 days ago.

The leaf tips curling, leaf edge yellowing and leaf dropping started before the flushing began.

They were flushed on Saturday 28 April, fed with half strength Fishmix & Bio-grow on Wednesday 2 May and flushed again on Saturday 5 May.

Tapwater pH is 8 and comes out 7.

Considering your ph is way to high I bet this is a lock out. I would suggest a ph of 6.5. and also what is your soil run off ph? You have a few defs I see but I think they will be corrected if you get the ph under control.

Run-off water is at pH 7.

The run-off of water with nutrients added is lower of course. Maybe one just needs to lower the pH of water used to flush.

Thanks for comments thus far, my friend's plant by the way!

Yes lower the ph in the 6.0-6.5 range. and maybe you should give full strength nutes also.

You know what it almost looks like it is over ferted in a few picks. ignore my previous statement of giving full strength. I say flush with 6.0 and see if you can get the run off around 6.5. Then return to feeding the half strength nutes.

Im thinking the black marks llook simliar to a phosphorus deficiency.

What temps is the plants exposed to? lower temps can sometime interfere with (p) being used. I am a little confused with this plant myself as I see a few different things going on. Thats why I come back to ph being the main problem here.

Could be, maybe some Bio-bloom should be added.

Will find out the temp, I don't think it would be too low.

I doubt it is to low either. I was just throwing out some Ideas. What light cycle is the plant under? veg or flower?

The remaining 2% are your other handles :pointlaug

those leaves have plenty of nutes.. too much imo.

flush.. get your ph correct.. 7-8 is way off.. concern yourself with what you put in and stop talking about the runoff with ph. just always give them a constant ph when u feed/water.

don't increase nute strength please that will not help at this point..

i'm betting its toxicity of something from the tap water/nute combo being too strong of a solution coupled with a ph lockout.
