I heard the same thing about Blackberry being alittle weak. I just won some Blackberry Widow on C-bay and will be growing out one pack of two ASAP. I think it's a Blackberry x Aloha White Widow cross. There's a picture of the plant from the crosser in my gallary. Heard this cross has alot better high to it. Hope this helps some.

same beans im checkin out. from jojorizo, have some of the AWW F2s to look over also.

he selected only the phenos which displayed heavy purplein from the F1s, plants with some purplein were culled. the AWW added girth to the stalk, bud, and tric field. taste is said to be blackberry with the AWW in the background.

have enough to get a good look at the varied F2s, plan on continued heavy selective pressure thru the gens same direction jojos headed. think this cross will turn out very good down the road.

CBF, I agree with you totally. What i like about his cross is that he used all purple and only the heavy purple male and females. This in the F2's are going to make them better in color. I also think the AWW used is also going to bring out a better high in the cross then with the straight Blackberry. I'm also going to grow some out and pick only the best and take them to F3's and see what happens then. I have two packs on the way and got my e-mail from Poppy that they were sent out on the 7th, so that means i should have them in my hands, no later then 16th. I will be germing one pack ASAP when they get here and start a thread on them also. I think this cross has alot to offer.

They are getting there, noticed some yellowing in some of the leaves. It's about time to change the rez and i think i'm going to add some Fox Farm Grow Big to add some N to them. Since they are longer in flowering time, i think alittle extra N aren't going to hurt them. Besides that, i noticed some seeds are coming out of the seed pods and i notice black color from the seeds and this is telling me that they are getting there. These are ones that got hit very early with pollen so they are finishing faster.

Did'nt mean to thread jack.. but I have some blackberry x's I recieved from the DHC. I have'nt heard of anyone growing them but am excited about popping them when I get the room....

the crosses are Blackberry X Yumboldt (4 packs of seeds for mother selection)

Does anyone know of the HP1 strain?? SUpposedly it is clone only in Cali.. But i have never heard of it. any help on the HP would be helpfull...
