You guys heard of this strain?
It is flowering in 12/12 right now and no hermies.
My Thai stick hermied as soon as it started flowering.
The Black thai started flowering around the same time as my other strains.
But just takes longer to get bud size going.
I hope it does OK indoors.
I think it will.
Any input from any Thai lovers.

Hey JDog...

Thais dont put on flowers until about week 5.. or at least thats my experience with them..

Expect a 13-14 week harvest window... It may go longer..

Prefers 10/14 light scedule as to 12/12. You may have a problem with her vegging under 12/12.

Feed very lightly, and not as often as you feed the other plants.

I hope all goes well and you have some killer Thai to burn..

Let us know how it turns out..

Thanks bro.
If it doesn't work out in my 12/12 room.
I'll save it for when I get a bigger house.
For the Thai room. It looks fine so far.
IF it shoots out hermies, it will be latyer at the end.
My Thai stick hermied right away.
This Thai seems top be able to handle it.
Maybe I'll build a Thai Cabnet.

looking forward to the smoke report. I love thais but Im a newbie and the fact that they tend to hermie makes me scared because Im uncertain I have the skills necessary to do the herb justice

Here she is at about 5 weeks or something. I lost track on this one.
Looks perfect.
No hermies.
Very earthy smell when you rub the crystals.

Bluntman, if it isn't hermying now that it started flowering.
Is that a good sign that it won't?
Or if it does, maybe it will just a little so I can pull the balls off?

Of course I'll keep looking for them.
Thats a 3 gallon pot with a 3 foot plant in it.
I think thats fine. Moonshine mix #4 is being used for this one.
No feeding just plain phed water and sometimes Liquid karma and sugar daddy.

I just completed a grow of Capt Beefhearts Black Thai aka Thai-tanic F2's. I had 2 very dominant Thai plants and one that showed a little more of the Skunk from the Thai-tanic. Grown in 6" square pots, from seed, with no nanners at all. One looked alot like the plant above. Just my 2 cents worth.

Black Thai is a MONSTER..
I had hermie problems later in flower, probably caused by heat/light stress
because of this (and because of the size of my two plants) i had to chop them early (at day 85)

this is pic few minutes before chop

in flower..

hey jdog, nice plant!
it looks very thai-dominant. I ran 12 seeds from a man on vancouver island. they were said to be thai-lights. Eight females were grown and I kept one as it was a superior pheno, the high is deliberate and thankful. (And she is the only one that did not hermie)

it was interesting that the plants didn't show bananas untill week eight or nine; this is when trichromes started turning opaque or cloudy.

good luck.

"superior" is in the eye of the beholder. the high and taste from thai plants (and other SE asian plants) is definately unique and sought after. i have dealt with the growth of thai plants just for the end result. try some for yourself and you'll see. :)

hey Jdog, pot just looked small compared to the plant in the pic. anyway, ran through a bunch of thai last winter, and the bigger the pot, less problems.

good luck bro

I've heard about thai hermying at the very end before.
But this was a clone so I'm hoping noone would have kept a hermie clone.
But you never know. Looks fine to me though.
Already getting frosty and starting to fill in a little.

Pretty sure that 3 gallon grow bag will be fine for such a small plant.
Infact I'd say the pot is probably too big.But like you said Thai likes that.
It's in the moonshine mix and I won't be adding anything else except a little liquid karma and sugar daddy.
