Black stems?

Hey, my plants look healthy to me kinda... it's just that some leaves curved funny and the stems are purple/black... im gonna try and get some lower shots because all the stems from the bottom are purple and the higher stems are black.... what's causing this? is my temp too cold?

this first pic you can prob see it the clearest. just gollow the main stem up and look at that and the branches for the fan leaves. the other cmaller branches are hard to see, but black too.

Hooked leaves caused by too much Nitrogen...mitsu

yep a lil overfed...the colors are not from tat though....cold temps could do it so could a lockout but its def not a lockout plants look excellent even if a little overfed they arent burned...the colors are probabl from the strain (which is ?)

medical_shed - lol sorry, my temps are 25C-27C lights on and 17C-18C lights off... but thats a little higher than canopy, where the 2 big colas are.

mitsu1 - i'v eonly been using floranova bloom and liquid koolbloom. FNbloom barely has any N and LKB has none 0-10-10.... any other ideas?

Kinderfeld - oh sorry, thier afghans and what kinda lockout could it be? its possible i overfeed them, but the soil always gets dry quickly. i feed every other day, nutes, nutes, water, nutes, nutes, water. is that too much? should i wait 3 days?

Thanks

phosphorous i believe will give you purple stems but like i said its not it because your plant would not look as healthy. right now I think all you need is to feed every three waterings....also I would not be giving that baby hardly any (if any) nitrogen right now in fact those afghans have real short flowering dont they? I would do feedings only flower nutes every 3 waterings...your doing great just ease up on the feeding, no more or very little nitrogen... add a dash of molasses during your flush and your golden...

That is correct about phosphorus.

A phosphorus deficiency can sometimes show the characteristic of reddish/purplish stems/petioles. However, in the case of a deficiency, the color is not usually restricted to just these areas.

More than likely what you're seeing is genetic. It is a common characteristic in many phenotypes of many breeds.

The plants look nice and healthy man.
