Hi guys,
I was looking at my babies yesterday and found like 2 flies on my leafs.
I was wondering if they can actually lay their eggs on my plants or can they Harm my plants?
Also when I was trying to get rid of those flies I have seen dark black spots on some of the leafs.I tried to scrap them off but couldnt, they are litterally stuck there and they kind of look like black moles. Does anyone have an idea of what that could be? Fly eggs maybe?
thx for the help guys

the black spots could be droppings from bugs....

What do these flies look like?

They could actually be Thrips. They lay tiny black eggs and the adults have wings and hop/fly.

the flies are not thrips, they are those normal big flies you see all over you know. they even hang around shit outside every now and then :)

talking about shit, lol Core is that what you meant by droppings from bugs?

I wouldn't be too concerned about shit flies.

Imagine outdoors how many flies would potentially land on plants?

If you are using shit to fertilize you will see many flies...... :muahaha:

Fly shit dude! I noticed in my workshop during the summers when I would leave the doors open and flies would congregate (usually attracted by the dog's food) they would leave black dots behind. I noticed it on wooden railings where they would land, on chain link gates, on some of the metal parts in the shop. Basically where ever they would land. It took me awhile to figure out what it was when I noticed it, but it's fly shit. I wouldn't worry too much.
Peace, Mr.M

I did a search about thrips and landed on fruit flies which looks exactly like the flies I see (shit flies :muahaha: )
Could that be because they are the ones who lay the eggs on the plants which would end up give thrips birth?
In other words, do thrips come from fruit flies or am I totally not even close to it :joint:

Thrips come from Thrips but how the travel into your room can be from any number of sources including hitchhiking on other types of bugs.

A lot of people say leave spiders to predate your room of other insects but they are known to carry different types of mites including spider mites. !00 bug free is the safest way to go indoors unless we are talking organic mixes and such.
