Black Mountain Side – Live Hash Rosin
Genetics: Black Mountain Side - rumoured to be a GSC derivative
Grower/Producer: Polar (brand) – owned and processed by Origami Extraction Inc - grown in Quebec by micro-grower Tecu Extractions
Overall Rating: Excellent – Just don’t try to do anything normal for a little while after imbibing this.
Smell: somewhat muted sweet earthy pine
Taste: wonderful earthy gas – with just a teeny tiny wobble of harshness
Consistency: waxy yellow blob – not sticky at all
Duration: long
Potency: Tested @ 85.274% - 2.02% CBD – 2.3% CBG
Terpenes: 6.51% - Caryophyllene, Humulene, Limonene, Nerolidol, Ocimene
So I am dipping into another concentrate with this review. This time it was a gift – a Live Hash Rosin that is made in a sleepy little town deep in the wilds of rural Quebec. They claim that it is pressed from ice water hash that is made with RO water.
Now to answer the immediate question: Yes, it gets you very high. Not quite drooling high – and my butt dyno says that I was not as high as I was with the Purple Hills Terra Nova Hash – but certainly high enough. Interestingly, the TN hash clocked in at 66% versus 85% here, so proving once again that THC % isn’t the whole story. Some of the reddit critics have said that this one is too ‘dry’ but I prefer this to the gooier rosins and waxes that are always a mess to smoke for the fumble-fingered (like me). So yes, I liked it and it worked very well in my APX Volt. Pricewise it seems to fit in the middle of the rosins with this one having a higher declared THC% when compared to some of the others.
Available @ retail cannabis stores in Canada. $49.10/1 gram
