Bits of Leaves Missing - New Shoots

I am noticing the edges of leaves sort of missing or not developing. It almost looks like someone dribbled acid along the edge. The tips of new shoots seems to be missing sometimes and along the edges of leaves. Sometimes it is at a singular point where it has sort of sunken in and puckered. Otherwise the plants seems to be healthy and growing normal. Not finding mites or creepy crawlers. A bit of white flys but nothing extreme.

I searched around the forum and this guys pics look quite similar. Not exact but quite similar. Unfortunately he never received an answer. Does this look familiar to anyone??? Quite odd.

Thank you.

edit: i added my own pics below. please check them out

It sort of looks like a leaf munching bug is eating your plant but with that much damage I'm sure you would have noticed them. I've never seen anything like it. Is something attacking your roots? That can make the leaves grow deformed. The way the edges turned up at 1st sort of resembles broadmite damage, I know broad mites is a fashionable diagnosis nowadays it seems. Have you got on them leaves with a microscope?

OK hopefully these will give you an idea of the wierdness. These plants haven't been sprayed with anything to influence growth and I can't find bugs. Roots appear happy. I don't think it's broad mites or a nutrient issue.

Viral? I'm not having luck googling similar symptoms.

These two photos give a better idea why it doesn't look like BM damage.

Notice on the first photo how the entire edges of leaf are sort of missing like acid has etched it away, but otherwise the leaf looks normal in the middle.

On the second photo notice how all of the new growth is missing its tips so it is sort of creating snake tongue leaves.

Maybe it's nothing but a mutant plant,it looks healthy otherwise.

Those 2 pics look more like nute burn to me. Some of the other pics look like it could be broad mites. As long as you scoped and can confirm it's not that, my guess is nute burn. I know you said you don't think it's that either, but some of those leaves have some pretty obvious burn. And that dark green color with the bubbled texture on the leaves. If it's not an issue now it looks like it was not too long ago. Aside from that I'm out of ideas. Good luck I'm sure you'll handle it. What's the strain?

Just ran into this for the last 2 crops

Just ran into this for the last 2 crops

High from Orygone.

Its been driving me nuts!!

Not much info or images out there. Finding your post was pretty exciting.

I'm getting this after transplanting into soil and doing the first watering, which is usually a half dose of OG nutes.

At first it looked like Caterpillar damage or cutworms. The leaves literally look like they've been chewed. On the older leaves the middle of the leaf blades are gone, but the rest of it is still green.

Once I looked at the fresh/young growth I knew it wasn't a pillar problem. Young leaves are severely stunted and discoloring to a whitish tint in the middle of blades.

I have it down to:
1. Nute burn. I recently started using a blue lab multi meter using the 500 calibration. Use 700 or EC instead as the 500 and 700 are just multipliers of the EC. Some Nute companies specify which calibration they use. The first flush my meter was maxing out at 2500ppm in 500 setting.
2. Soil Imbalance. I've been turning my own soil and amending with Kelp, BatGuano, Lime, Perlite, Coco and Compost. Might be causing burn as the soil is super rich from last flowering cycle already. Need to flush better at the end of cycle. Flush some soil in a pot and test run off before putting plants in.
3. High Alkaline run off during flush. noticed PH meter was reading 7.5-7.9. This also indicates a salt build up. Buffer water with an acid like Apple Cider Vinegar down to 5.8-6.0 and flush thoroughly. Natural acids do not hold acidity in water, so you have to PH each watering.
4. Excessive heat or cold could worsen the problem as alkeline rich soil and plant chemistry change with both heat and cold. Make sure your water is at least 60 degrees.

It takes plants a couple weeks to bounce back.

I will put my pics up nxt day or two.

Any other ideas as to what this could be?
