Bitcoins

Glad to see that certain sites are now allowing use of bitcoins to be used as currency, I'm curious if the online cannabis community is catching on to what seems to be a more secure way of doing business.

Also, I had a friend recommend I buy bitcoins 10 years ago. "Yeah right" I told him.

I remember when bitcoin mining first started. I was so tempted to throw down alot of cash for a bunch of graphics cards, but there was really no way to use it and many people were skeptic (not to mention it started to crash).

It looks like its starting to crash again. I would rather invest in precious metals and capital goods.

Bitcoin was invented in 2008 as a currency that could be used without government oversight. What used to be a way to make money has now become an international haven for illicit businesses and the transfer of money over international borders. Some good articles online regarding bitcoin and it's potential as an international currency void of cross border taxes and withholdings.

The next steps involve small nations like St. Kitts offering passports for $500,000 with a promised 5 year stay. Great for large scale Chinese investors and the early pioneers of bitcoin.

In the future, Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal plans to build an artificial island where people can do whatever they want. Ver’s passport site, his latest venture, is a scaled down version of that ideal.

the seasteading institute was around before bitcoin but they both seem to have been causes taken up by all these new libertarian groups

at first nobody wanted them because there was no place to use them, now everybody can spend them but cant get them from anywhere

even the crazy hermits living up in the hills still laugh at the city slicker

WAY too restrictive. When I tried buying some I got the definite impression they were just fraught with fraud. I quit trying.

Not eye said the blind man.
