Bitcoin

I'm in need of help. So, I downloaded the bitcoin wallet and coinbase. I am verified and was just about to buy BC for my wallet when I see it took a dive in the last few hours for a bit.

So do you lose the value if you buy it and put it in your wallet or just what?

Seriously don't want to fuck up but want to get into this not only for seeds or whatnots but possibly invest a few hundred. I'm visually impaired so I can't read threads for long and so... Well I just need help.

Best of best to ya! And thanks.

I've been following bitcoin for awhile and my advice is, don't be someone who follows the price daily. It has gone up and down over the last several years and it will continue to do so in the future. Be careful investing in crypto: exchanges can take your coins, hackers can take your coins, your pc can die with your wallets on it. If you are technically challenged, it is not for you. If you chose to buy some, do some reading and know what pitfalls others have suffered. If you still decide to "get in", develop your position gradually over the long term instead of making large bulk buys. Know what the coin you are buying does, if anything other than hold an arbitrary value.

Thank for the reply. So is it safe to just use to buy seeds with for a n00b? I'm wondering how long it takes to convert dollars from bank to coin. Not sure if its instant once set up to go from bank to coinbase and into wallet? Peace

Quite honestly, the volitility of btc means its no safer than cash in an envelope for seeds.

For investment its terrible, its gambling not investing.

But as a game its gripping. So use an entertainment budget for btc not your investment or seed money now.

seeds can be safely bought using disposable debit cards available everywhere, cost about 6 or 7$ to buy, keep it active w/a $1.95 monthly fee thereafter. Load it with cash @ any sales location, (stores & larger gas/petrol stations, travel terminals would be a good place). No risk and it's done in a manner that you're already very well versed in...

and yes, as GMT said buy some bitcoin for entertainment value; who knows, maybe you'll get lucky somehow. Good luck :)

Hardware wallets are around $30 nowadays - with one of those, neither the exchange nor the hacker can disappear your coins. But because of price volatility, it might be best just to buy as much as you need to spend at that time. Otherwise, things can go up or down to a degree you may find significant.
