Yes, that's what my computor says, BIOME 1, when I run a diagnostics check. The computor will not start properly. It gets half way to starting then freezes. From my limited understanding I believe this refers to a memory issue, RAM and is probably hardware related and not the operating system which in my case is Windows 7.

Anyone else had this problem? Can I just replace the RAM bits? It's an HP system and I've heard the fault is pretty common with some of their products.

Cheers, luckily I have a spare computor.

as to your problem, if it is just a memory failure it can be replaced easily
if you are out of warranty open your case and remove the memory
if you have more than one memory stick you can check to see if you can identify the suspected failed stick
by swapping them around or substituting a known working stick of the same type
