Biobizz?????

I am currently using biobizz grow, bloom, and root juice. I also have hygrozyme and have been noticing my leaves turning yellow, with purple stems. I am about four weeks into flower and have tried to stop the problem; by using cal mag, and liquid karma. Any opinions on what I should do?

Make sure that the root zone is well aerated. Packed down soil or a medium with inadequate aeration may be well responsible for such probs. Is the pot size too big?Could be a factor. Make sure you water only after the soil is DRY.I mean very dry(not dust like) but dry to the touch , much drier that fresh bought bagged soil .

You would need to post some pics to help people see the prob..It could be many factors..

Yellowing during flowering is normal. If you wanted to delay that you could have doubled the grow a week before 12/12, doubled the grow the week of switch over, then bloom after that with the 1ml/L dose till final flush.

The BB bloom is low in K, you need to feed the grow all the way, because it contains the K. Weed deficient in K will not stay lit in a joint. I know from experience as I stopped the grow during my first run with BB and realized that the K is in the grow.

I also found that the Grow is way low in P, so a 1/2 dose of bloom now and then helps gives some P to vegging plants. P is necessary for root growth among other things, not just flowering. That may be the cause of your purple stems.

If you post pix then we could give a better diagnosis on your plants.

There are alot of things that will make leaves yellow. A picture would help a lot, if ya don't have one, I would suggest a few more details about yer grow before you do anything more. You don't wanna add to the problem. So if ya could fill us in on some more details, I'm sure we could figure it out. Oh, btw jus for the hell of it, shake up the bottles of nutes yuv been usin and take a good whiff of em, jus ta make sure nothing has went bad on ya. later, BC

So yea I will have to borrow a digital because I don't have one. Now the deficiency has stopped in all my strains except sour jack. Which continues to yellow with the older leaves first. Also I have noticed that they get brown chlorotic spots on them at the very end before the leaves fall off. I added some beneficial bacteria hoping that they can break down the nutrients and make it more readily available. Any Ideas? I was thinking sulfur and maybe nitrogen(but way into flower).

Do the plants have adequate root space?

Maybe a transplant is in order.

I've been using Bio-Bizz nutes (grow, bloom, alg-a-mic, topmax) for years and the only yellowing I run into is from a Mg deficiency now and again on very hungry strains.
The Bio-Bizz line of nutes are known for being low in Mg so that is why I add the alg-a-mic every now and then to keep everything nice and green.

But you say you've been adding Cal-Mag to them and it has no effect on the yellowing?

What size containers are they in and how large are they? (height and width)
Also, what soil are you using and does it have any perlite mixed in for drainage?

More info and a pic would make this easier to diagnose.

my containers are five gallons the plants are only about a foot and a half my three tallest are two feet. I did not mix perlight into my medium. I am currently using fox farm ocean forrest. I was thinking that it might be a sulphur def.

Well now some more info has come to light.

If there is no perlite than chances are the soil is too sogged out and those containers are too big for those plants right now. If this is the case than N can become locked up and the plant will yellow.....

Again, do you have pix? Please fill out the form at the top of Stitch's sick plant guide. That is the info we need.

If you are not going to answer any questions posted than I am not going to waste my time asking them any more.....

ok well i dont have a camera and i will try to find one and borrow one. For now i will fill out stitches guide. I was wondering why if the pot is to big will it cause lockouts?

N gets locked out from the soil being too soggy. Soil is too soggy from too big a pot and not enough roots to use it up fast enough, and soggy from not enough perlite for drainage. The roots can't breathe and feed and N is the first nute to get used by the plant. If it can't get it from the soil, it will take it from it's own oldest growth first - it will basically eat itself.

Filling out Stitch's form will help us get to the next step. There may be info in there that will nail the problem clear as day.....
