Hello everybody this is my 3rd grow, I am still definitely a n00b at this but I feel like I'm competent enough now to show others what I do my previous grows have been just with CFLs and bagseed with satisfactory results but not exactly what i've been striving for. I just built a new cab with the 150watt HPS and have high hopes for some good results

[Vegging Chamber]
Design: Converted Bookcase with B/W Poly
Lights: Cloning/Mother shelf: 20watts blue T12 Vegging Shelf: 60watts mixed spectrum T12
Ventilation: TBD
Odor Control: Febreeze Odor Eliminator fan x 2

[Flowering Chamber]
Design: Dual Door Storage Cabinet (roughly 3' x 3' x 1.5')
Lights: 150 watt HPS (e-conolight conversion)
Ventilation: 4" Desk fan and (1) PC fan for circulation + 4" passive intake
Odor Control: 4" inline Duct fan + DIY carbon scrubber
Currently Inside: (1) SuperJack x Purple bagseed and (1) BC/OG Kush Clone

[Soil and Fertilizer]
Soil mix: seedling starter soil (~80% Peatmoss with dash of fert, water retainer) mixed with 2 parts Perlite and a 1 tsp dolomite lime/gallon. overall composition is roughly 66% Perlite and 33% Perlite
Fertilizer: Flora Nova Grow and Bloom
Feeding Schedule: water by pot weight, fertilizer every 3rd watering. no watering for first week, then start at half strength (1/4 tsp/gallon) and increase from there

My current plans are to train and veg the BC/OG Kush clone currently in the Veg box to become a mother plant. I decided to throw another BC/OG Kush clone in the Flowering box since I'm impatient to smoke these buds The Biko Bx1 seeds were germmed with the paper towel method and then transplanted into Jiffy peat pucks. I orginally had 4 seeds, which all cracked, however I f*cked up one of the taproots while moving into Jiffy peat pucks and so far I've yet to see a seedling pop out so I have 3 seedling so far. The SuperJack x Purple bagseed has been vegging for a few months (I gave it to a friend to experiment for the summer and surprisingly it lived! haha so now i'm flowering it)

I placed 4 Biko Bx1 seeds in a wet paper towel and on the 2nd day the seed cracked open and the tap root emerged. They were then transplanted into Jiffy peat pucks and placed under a humidity dome. 3 seedlings immediately emerged, and 1 showed no signs of life. After digging the peat around I found that the seed was placed upside down and the seedling was growing downwards. I tried to re-orient it but in the process accidentally snipped a piece of the taproot. I assumed I killed the seedling but today i noticed some small roots forming so I went ahead and flipped the seedling and replanted it. It'll be nice if it survives, but I'm not expecting it to. One seedling is especially strong and outgrew the humidity dome so I've transplanted it into a small pot.

BC/OG Kush Clone

I received two clones of BC/OG Kush and have decided to make 1 plant a mother, and the other immediately flower so I can harvest soon. The vegging plant shows more vigorous growth and I've started to LST the clone.

The clone in the flowering chamber showed signs of nutrient deficiencies since the day I received it (it came in its own unknown soil mix). I've since then transplanted the clone into my own mix and have been following my own feeding schedule. So far the new growth looks healthy and hopefully I will see more of this soon.

This was grown from seeds from a female plant that accidentally got pollinated by a male plant (same bagseed) during my last grow. Originally the seeds came from a bag of SuperJack x Purple that I picked up last year. These are seeds of the seeds I found in the sack, so I guess these are really SuperJack x Purple bagseed F2. Anyways, I have many of these seeds and have grown them out in the past, it really is a hit or miss in terms of whether or not the final buds are dank.

A buddy of mine wanted to learn how to grow so I gave him a few pointers and helped him grow this one over the summer while I was out of town. The plant itself has been through alot, over/under watering, lack of nutrients, high heat, and being rootbound. That said, it has been under my care for the past 2 weeks and it looks to have stabilized and healthy.

I've been having some issues with heat in my flowering cab. The temperature inside the room is 82*F and inside the cab it's reaching 90*F. I'm not sure what I can do in terms of design of the cab to help this problem, since the room that it sits in itself is really warm. Could high heat cause stunted growth? (I feel like the BG/OG Kush in the flowering cab is not as vigorous) If I just have to let the plants deal with it (and I have a feeling thats my only option right now) what negative effects will it have on the plant? Does having cool nights help alleviate the stress at all?

You can try using ice packs to cool down the air temp in the cab. It's a pain in the butt to exchange them throughout the day (if possible) but it does work until the heat subsides. I'm a firm believer that MJ loves heat, I know my outdoors grow the most when it's scorching hot and the humidity is high. As long as you have a fan to fresh'n the air it should be fine. Do you have a cool tube on your light? Good luck with your grow.

No, I decided not to use a cool tube since it's only a 150 watter. I have a couple fans in the cab that provide good circulation. I'll just keep a close eye one them for the next few days and see how they hold up under the heat.

Here's a pleasant surprise! the seedling that i thought i killed is actually growing:

Here are the other Biko Bx1 seedlings, I've transplanted them into small cups. One seems to have a slightly deformed leaf:

Here's the vegging BC/OG Kush clone, I was worried that I was a little too rough with the LST (see kink in stem) but it seems to be doing just fine and growing:

I feel like this one is growing very slowly, but I THINK I see new growth which keeps me confident. Temps in the flowering cab have been around 90*F due to the heatwave around here but ventilation/circulation is excellent and the plants don't look too stressed.

yup, this is when i start to get impatient haha, but it's really cool taking closeups at this age, new trichomes appear every day!

yeah this is SuperJack x Purple bagseed F2, the original sac that I picked up had a very nice citrus fruity smell to it, maybe if i'm lucky i'll get the same phenotype this time around

thanks! the digital macro feature is a very handy one to learn on your digital camera and as long as you pair it with a tripod you can get some great shots.

I have a question about the BC/OG Kush that is being flowered:

Will the clone grow first before attempting to flower? I threw the clone straight into 12/12 after it rooted and I don't want to end up with a 4" clone trying to make a one gram main cola haha. I've thrown seeds straight into 12/12 and had no problems just making sure things will be the same with the clone.

p.s. my kids are having a sleepover with some OG Kush from SFV

They're not completely rooted and I'm taking care of them until they go out to patients. I've been keeping them in the humidity dome and squirting water on them and around them, keeping the rockwool moist and the air humid.

Maybe I'll adopt one of them...
