Big Buddha - Super Automatic Sativa - AF SOG

Alright all, bout time I started a diary eh?

The strain:

Big Buddhas' Automatic X Super Silver Haze 'reversed'

The past few years have seen a big development in autoflowering strains. Big Buddha Seeds have again come up with a new autoflowering plant with the intention of a fast flowering 'Haze' strain. The Super Automatic Sativa (S.A.S) is an autoflowering plant with a taste reminiscent of the Hazes' of Amsterdam. The S.A.S grows well in a good medium(soil etc.) with lots of air so the roots can stretch out to get a decent autoflowering yield which will blow you away with its quick performance....leaving you with a high ranking product capable of taking out any other strains!
The sweet, piney haze like taste is very distictive and with the fast finishing time, it is really time to......
STAND TO ATTENTION & SALUTE the 'S.A.S' !

Parents:
Big Buddhas' Automatic X Super Silver Haze 'reversed'
Flowering time: Autoflowering hybrid 90% Sativa 10%
Genetics: Indoors - start to finish 8 to 10 weeks / Outdoors - Beginning of August
Sensory experience: Soaring Sativa high with touches of euphoria
Smell: fruity , pine , citrus hazy , very reminiscent of cup winning strains of yesteryear, a smell that you know will send you on a journey!
Taste: sweet, woody, pine, fruit, silver haze

All grown in BioBizz Allmix, and will be hand watered. Theres 25 x 6.5ltr pots, crammed in a 1m x 1m tent, with a 400w MH (1st two weeks) and a 400w HPS dual spec (last eight weeks). Light schedule will be 20hrs on, 4hrs off.

They will be fed with organic blackstrap molasses, a bit of epsoms salts if need be, and maybe one dose of pk13/14.

Seed were put into soak for 24hrs on fri morning, and were in paper towel by sat morning. All 25 were popped by sat night, and were in their final pots by sun morning.

These motherfuckers were eager to get going!

Pics will be up when they show their heads, and when I figure out to do it on here lol.

Cheers!

Subbed mate.

Strain sounds nice.

Hope the All-mix isn't too hot to start them in?

Welcome in Mitch, skotty, uptosumpn and wiseone.

@ Mitch, Yeah a lot of people say that about the all mix, I've never had a problem with it so far. Plus it's all I can get hold of locally. The other option is John Innes from the local B&Q, but I can't be arsed to mix in my own perlite.

On a side note, can anyone explain how I get pictures up on this forum? Do they need to be hosted somewhere like photobucket, and then linked from there?

Cheers

Woooohoooo Cant wait to watch this one! Awesome strain choice, lets see what big buddahs SAS has got! I hope it turns out as good as it sounds!

Although 90% genesand only 10% sativa bugs me a bit, thats proabably why its a 8-10 weeker...It would be better to at least see 50% of each.. but i wont be a dobuter until i see this grow!

Good Luck bud!

Can you get light-mix locally?

yes in the past some strains got stunted planting direct into all-mix - regular and AF, perhaps they were extra strong batches i'm not sure.. but i don't risk it thesedays

+ lightmix is abit cheaper.

Best of luck again anyway dude

@ joejusttyped - I know, mental stuff! I'll look up what the 'Automatic' parent strain contains in a sec.

@skotty - cheers dude, just as helpful as always!

@20/4 - I know mate, it's a brand new strain, so lets hope the Buddha doesn't let me down eh?

@Mitch, the crappy hydro shop only gets in all mix. I plan on going back to pebbles after this, I'm not so fussed by the gnat problem lol. Fingers and toes crossed they'll be alright. I doubt I'll feed them much. Coincidentally, what did you make of the blackstrap mollasses?

This is the blurb about the 'Automatic' parent to the 'SAS'

Big Buddha’s

Automatic Logo

Low Ryder Northern Lights x Mexican Ruderalis x Bonkers Feminised
Auto Flowering Seeds

Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’…. the next generation of autoflowering strains bred with the intention of more stability and vigor as well as flavour and a taste that the 1st generation of autoflowering strains never had.
Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’ is one of the easiest to grow autoflowering plants in the world….. it will astound you with its ‘cotton candy stick’ structure & amazing ‘sticky resin’ glistening on its flower tops.
With its short height and extremely ‘sea of green’ structure, Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’ is extremely low maintenance, they really are ‘throw and grow’ seeds!

Throw them, Grow them, its Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic Logo' !!

Parents:
Nothern Lights x Mexican Ruderalis x Bonkers Male
Flowering time: start to finish 8 - 10 weeks from seed
Genetics: 20% Ruderalis 30% Sativa 50% Indica
Sensory experience: suprisingly pleasent high
Smell: floral lavender incense
Taste: sweet candy tart goodness

gnat problem?

Ahh i see, mine are pretty good round here.

Ermm i'm not sure about the molasses as they look nice and frosty, They have all had it though so i don't have a comparison to how they would have been without it. For the price though it couldn't hurt :)

The description sounds nice anyway

this definitely looks interesting. those 25 pots of soil are gonna turn into somethin lovely super quick i feel.

by the way, that's a killer germ rate...do you use a heat mat? i don't have terrible problems, but it's real cold out my way and am wondering if thats the main culprit.

Put them in tap water for 24 hours, then 5 lots of 5 seeds in plastic takeaway food tubs, in between damp paper towel, then put in the airing cupboard. I would guess it's mid 20's celsius in there.

I had issues with germination, and then thought about it a bit. All seeds pop nicely in the springtime, bit o' water, bit o' warmth, job's a goodun!
