Big bud trouble (pics)

Thanks for stopping in guys... My first dirt grow!! I've run into an issue with the bigbud. Here are the details. First off, and what i kind of suspect, I may have burnt them with the fan. The Krush that are treated the same way as the BB are fine. I have no ph info for you as of today. They receive 200ml food every other day mixed per directions. If the soil is to moist I skip days. They are watered with plain water between feedings. The lights are cooled and at least a foot away. Plants are 3 weeks old, grown from seed. No co2 as of yet. The room is constantly vented. The co2 ppm sits around 560. Fert: Greener Planet HydroFuel A/B and Aussie Tonic. Dirt: Promix HP. pics:

First, try to make pics with white-balance switched on or turn your lights off and use the flash of your camera. From these pics it's hard to tell what colour the leafs have exactly...

But still I think this is the beginning of a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is a highly mobile element so deficiencies will show on older (larger) leafs first. The leafs start yellowing between the veins of the leaf and soon after the leaf tips and edges will start to turn brown. Eventually the tip and edges of the leafs will turn upwards and small rusty spots will appear.

Magnesium deficiencies are often caused by too much calcium or chloride in the soil. Also pH troubles can cause magnesium to be locked out. You can try adding some magnesiumsulphate or Epsom salt. (about 1 tablespoon per liter) Improvements should be visible in the younger parts of the plant first, then shortly followed by the lower/older parts of the plant.

You can also try a diluted foliar spray if you suspect the pH of your water is off-scale...

Good luck and if you could make some pics that show the actual leaf colour it will become clear if this really is a magnesium deficiency. :bandit:

high heat ,, and low humidity!! looks like they are sweating ,, and can't replace the water in the leaves fast enough!~ could either be inviroment , or salt build up !~!
either one can dry them out !

Notice this is my spray rate not a drench of the soil. I have my doubts about this being magnesium deficiency. Your really hurting yourself by not knowing ph. See my signature below for soil testing directions. Try clearer pictures.

Like sprout co has stated about the ph and testing, but its NOT a magniseum deficiency, its either heat stress ( im very sure this is it) or nutrient burn

Can you take pictures of it without the HPS on? how close did you have the lights to these plants and what is the wattage of these lights?

Im sure you are burning them too 200 ml every other day?!!?!

you should not be feeding your plants that much ever

4 ml organic is enough per gallon of water

stop using the tonic, its like full of vitamins just use your normal NPK food your using

Thanks for helping out guys. Here are some pics with better colour or color ;)

sproutco: I will be picking up some kind of ph testing supplies this week. I've been holding out cause the tester I want is out of stock. (bad call huh)

MynameStitch: The lights are 600w in tubes about 18" away from the canopy. I mix the fert 3.5ml (each part) per 4 liters(one gal) water and give each plant 200ml of that every 2 or 3 days...maybe I should only use 1.7ml each part? I will lay off the Aussie completely for a while, do you know how often i should use Assie?

Sunsimulator: I thought the heat looked pretty good 20c or 69f min up to 31c or 88f max measured under the lights. My humidity is a little low during the day though at 27%min up to 39%max.

Thanks again

Its not magnesium deficiency. I think its too much ferts. Might want to use straight water once before using a lower dose of ferts.
