Hey guys I am looking for a strain to help with insomnia.
And was on leafly & they reckon big bud would be Great
For insomnia but I have read people say it should be called
Big Dud because they don't rate it...

Anyone confirm if it's any good ?

These are all the strains listed as sleepy or help with insomnia

I was wanting to buy a cpl of seeds of each and see what works for me

If you have tried any of these please let me no what you think

The scbb cut is good but dann near impossible to find, seed is a crap shoot the right pheno yes but gonna have to look through some crap to find what you want... The other options are more likely to give u what you want easier.. Of the top of my head verdant green 98bubba s1 or bubbaxlvpk would be my choice...but csi humboldt nspecta got some excellent stuff that fits your bill to I. urkle n bubba crosses... Also baseman has a lot of interesting indices...

I have been getting tablets from docs on and off for a while for insomnia but they don't work now
And make me feel worse next day so that's why I am looking at cannabis.

I am hoping to find I nice strain for during the day so I do stuff.and a nice sedative strain for night time smoking if such strains are out there...

If you can get some kalichakras from mandala seeds try it... an Indian sativa hybrid with sedative effects.. i compare the hit with some others plants over a few years and its Works

I love Big Bud....the pheno I grew years ago was hella heady.
In fact, she was so stony that I tried to open my front house door lock repeatedly by pressing my car door remote.....instead of putting a key in the lock and turning.
I missed class and turned up to classes on the entirely wrong day because of that strain...good times....

However, I lost her in the move from one state to another.

I now have a phenotype that's kinda citrusy, nice yield....good balance of body/mind high....

I wouldn't say she puts me to sleep, but she is relaxing as well as sedating and gives you a bit of an appetite for sure. She's not nearly as much of a brain killer as that prior Big Bud....but she's still a keeper.

BTW: Sensi gear is underrated for sure....but everything they have is solid.

I recently finished an Auto Massive Bud grow.
It's a reworked variety of Big Bud by Azarius seeds.

Oh my, thats some awesome stuff. Zero paranoia, big up clear headed high in combination with full body relaxation. I could still move around so not really coughlock. I couldn't care about anything in the world. Just a perfect indica/sativa ratio. Makes you float away. A true bliss type high.

I can understand why people recommend Big Bud for insomnia. You just float away caring about nothing.

I'd suggest a indica dominant strain (ie. Something with less than 30% sativa in there)

Then take that strain an extra week or ten days

In essence you'll have developed the thc to near narcotic effect standards

At that point I feel I must advise you something to take with you into the big bad world of cannabis breeders

Basically as far as big bud goes I personally have never had an absolutely kick my arse bud of it, I'm not saying they don't exist but.......

Is it a Reputible breeders big bud?

Is it a stable strain?

Is it a known phenotype?

I'm asking as there is approximately 30 seed banks with approx 1-5 different breeders version or crosses, how can anyone hazard a guess as to what your going to end up with as far as the gene pool goes?

I'd say your best bet is to go for something depending on your tolerance

Again not trying to sound like a know it all I'm just offering some good old honest advice

If your just getting into smoking then you'll want something very low in thc
If not you'll want something that'll hit you harder than the hogwarts express if you were tied to the tracks for sleep

My suggestions wouldn't be near big bud

I'd only be able to suggest stuff I've grown or smoked myself so..........

But tbh I'm not sure on the breeders

And as far as I'm concerned it's all about anything over 20-25% thc buds all gassed out in a silicon dish in a vac oven so if your tolerance is all ready near enough opiate levels then I'd suggest a rapid move over to the extracts and concentrate sections and about £500 to get some equipment and a shit load of pizza menus
