Man you Irish people should really protest this one. This shit won't fly in America. People would be up in arms.. But they did sneak the Patriot Act in there... Stupid stupid people.. I'm a first generation American and I love it here but terrorism needs to be fought other ways.. What's the reason they say they are doing this in Ireland.. I swear if this shit comes to America I'm moving to Sicilia..

"there is no northamerican union , your crazy" as they set it up behind closed doors..10 years from now when we are the nau instead of usa people will act the same way.. like it never happened ,scary.

Encryption baby, the way of future. Believe me there are ways to protect yourself from the all seeing eye. And btw this is actually good if its properly managed, there is no way in hell the goverment is gonna keep track of everyones activity and im sure its only used when needed, yes its probably gonna be used against you if they suspect your growing and ordering online, but thats when you shoulda changed too. If they go ninja you gotta go ninja too. Encrypt everything.

The good part is that it will eventually discourage other crimes, aside from the part where im growing i am actually interested in the betterment of the human race and these are the times for security. First we get rid of religion and acknowledge the facts then we can go total hippy.

And wether you agree with my views or not, if you live in a place like Ireland and get busted because you didnt consider encryption, then its your own fault.

Guys I am really not some EU supporter but what the heck are you talking about ? EU was founded as economical union and later went into political union as well.

What does EU have to do with Irish government spying on their own people. EU certainly didn't pass that law for them.

The problem is that this is a TREND and we will see more data gathering and then who knows what kind of data mining from our beloved leaders.

If you are worried use encryption....

already record all digital communications in us. was created to do just that, circa 1969.
very simple to record 1's and 0's+record them. old book on this tech was puzzle palace, by j. bamford. newer books available.
recent articles in news media about rooms @ telecom hubs being used solely for filtering/data mining.
couple older programs in mass news media were 'echelon', and 'carnivore', purportedly. those just 2 in media relevant to filtering/monitoring
every comp, and modem already have ip addy's. when log onto net, comp becomes node on net. # on network.
p.a.t.r.i.o.t. act is acronym. try to find it in us code - spread all over place. amended/added lot of (existing) laws in many code titles.
no node on net absolutely maskable - wherever in world. still just 1's and 0's, originating @ a node.

beek i was merely stating how weird it is to see the eu talked about so openly , when before it was considered a conspiracy theory.. and the people behind the creation of the eu and the soon to be nau( hopefully not) are behind all of the policies and draconian laws..where do you think this law came from,who was the nudging force behind it,who was the author.why is it global..but the european union doesnt exist neither does the nau, there is no new world order.. oh yea Rockefeller doesn't brag about the end of america in his memoirs either, memoirs dont exist.

First off, the european union has declared this act illegal, and has insisted that the uk govt does not introduce it. The uk govt replied by declaring that while it wont personally collect this data, (after costing it), it will require all of the isps offering their services to uk customers to record this information and store it, and make it available upon request to law enforcement bodies. This puts the isps in the middle ground between the uk law and european law. Which isps comply will largely depend upon where their head office is based. This step also prevents the costs from appearing on the public accounts and passes the costs directly onto the customers of the isps. I dont know how it will be handled in ireland, but I suspect similar steps will be taken there as here.

All details of business transactions, for non vat businesses must be kept for 6 years and for vat registered businesses that requirement is for 7 years.

i use to think that this shit would never happen in america but america is not the same i could see this happening in the next 5 to ten years... Everything is out of control time to move to Jamaica
