BHO vs. EtOH hash for edibles

Does anyone know how making edibles with old "aged" material with Ethanol seems stronger than BHO from fresh material?
I know the old material trichomes are all amber, and it is more decarbed. This material has been stored in Mason jars, in the dark, cool, avg. 50% RH.
Is it the different cannabinoid profile, the extraction process, me?
I saw this chart the other day, may have some good info. Can anyone can sum it up for me on how it may relate to my question?

Guessing that the older stuff has more CBN's than the fresher stuff.
As CBN is a product of degrading canabanoids, and tends to make for a heavier stone.

Different extraction methods and solvents will yield different ratios of the many chemicals involved in making you feel a certain way. BHO edibles for me work well but feel "clean" and lack the couching effect. Of course you can over do it like anything and end up not enjoying the ride.

I once in a while notice couchlock, never up, mostly even keel. For example I made my usual cookie recipe that uses 1 stick of butter (or 113g Ghee) and hash. Batch before last I used 7g of SFV shatter, top grade hash. I didn't think they were strong enough compared to what I was used to, which was ethanol extracted aged material. So, I just extracted 19.5g hash from some 3 yr.old MK Ultra (proper storage) 76,14g milled and ready to rock. I used 6g of this hash and thought it was definately better. I base these tests on one cookie dosage, 2-4 per day
