How much was that oven ham? The ones I've been finding for like 1k look old and broken down. What kind of shape was that in when you got it?

It's not mine , so I can't say. I just get to use it. It needed to be cleaned pretty good, no telling what went through that thing. One of the valves is stuck open, but that's not a big problem and can be replaced

To be fair, your original post that Kut was referring to specifically mentioned vacuum oven. Lots of folks do the toaster oven/vac chamber method, I have only seen photos of one person purging in a legit vacuum oven, and that is KeeferReefer on TC, and he hasn't posted in quite some time to my knowledge.

i posted pics here somewhere awhile ago, there is a guy in Ontario with a nice new one, cost about 2500 i think.

Yeah, I do recall that photo. Was not a purging shot, IIRC, just the vac oven with some supplies all around it. Definitely cool that folks are taking the initiative!

DAMN!

I just spend the last 2 hours makin some oil. Never made this stuff before but HOLY!
I used the stainless turkey baster and some vector.. filled 2 up with trim/small buds and WOW! I didn't think I'd get this much... and it's gorgeous! Nice amber hard stuff but sticky like no other if you touch it.
Just put a little dab on some of my last buds and wow I'm stoned! It bubbled right up no sparks or BS. No vacuum purge just a nice long hot water bath and no more bubbles! It taste sorta like hash but IMO not as floral tasting. I'm sure it could be better but this is my first time and I can already tell this is going to change everything for me!

Made my first batch the other day. Came out like shatter but it was still very tacky and sticky. I don't have a oil smoking device so how is the best way to make it into like that crumbly version. Should I have whipped my first batch to creat that? Like the stuff doop roor had in the pic with his torch and piece

wax no whipping
