Dude, as I have stated 1000 times, my oil is shatter, before it is wax. There is no way it is under purged, as it would be shatter if I took it off the heating pad and just scraped it up instead of scraping all of the oil together into a pile and letting sit on heat purging LONGER. So tell me how my wax is under purged? Do I need to stop my preferred process halfway and show you how clear and "shatter" my bho is before I get it to the state I like it in.

Shatter sucks. Impossible to get onto a dabber to dab on a ti pad. Only thing its with a damn for is dropping like a boulder onto a ti nail or hot rock. Or the new handheld oil vapes.

dont you love how people can tell how well purged your honeycomb budder is without vaping any of it? I also tend to take that last step towards budder AFTER already obtaining a nice sap or glass. I would LOVE to take a nice little cheese wafer of your hands to drop on my ti nail!!

Damn dude , slang some of that amber get some paint and paint those dirty walls. JK Nice sap! $500 bux is a lot for a vac setup, mine was right around $200. You right you don't need it for shatter, but oh does it help on the large batches.

This thread is full of some of the most ridiculous haters on IC. Dab some of by oil and then tell me it is underpurged.. I guarantee I let my shit sit on heat purging longer than 90% of the people here. Most of the time it sits overnight. Tell me how there is butane left after sitting on a heating pad for 24 hours..

24 hours? You should refine your tech and you will have butane free oils in half the time. 10-15 mins on 160F water per each gram of oil and you will be golden and butane free. As far as dabbing your oil, only if I get to purge the rest of the butane out first.

I was under the impression that water above 130, decarbolizes it the oil....

If my purge water gets above 130, it starts to turn much darker...

this is correct


I try and keep any heat involved to the high 90's or <110 degrees F


less heat = yellow or amber depending on what you do to material
heat = peanutbutter color
lots of heat = blackish

Check out the graph in post #6 about decarbing. Gotta look for those tiny bubbles, no bubbles no more co2.
I think that different strains need different temps for getting all the tane out and keeping flavor.

I've purged at 120-140 and didn't notice any difference but a longer purge time, but if that's what everyone is purging at I will give it a shot tomorrow when I spray. thanks everyone

I don't dick around with purging. Think vacuum oven. It goes fast, and the oil comes out dank

I found this while digging through old boxes.

I must have made this around 2002 or 2003.It has a valve so you can soak the material for as long as you want. I have another tip for filling with butane, the one in the picture is for letting the tane out,I wish I would have known to chill everything first back then cuz everything that came out of that was so green and waxy!
