This strain is EPIC

Twice now I've exceeded 25% yield with this strain.

Previously, my highest yeilder was 22 ish.. Never broke 25 prior to this strain.
Death Valley Cheese..

Some Critical Mass. Started with 28g, 5g yield. Very tasty and smooth.

For your second run, that is looking proper my friend. It's great to have awesome material, huh? :biggrin:

By the looks of it, you may benefit from more purge time. I spy some small bubbles, although they could easily be terpenes or air, as small bubbles usually are. Try a thin film(very thin!) purge vaccumed down to 29.5 hg to avoid boiling off terpenes and thc. If you are already, good job. Good job regardless!!

Thanks man, it should only get better from here! I dont have a vaccum setup yet :frown:, I winterized this batch then purged off the ethanol over a warm water bath. It's pretty primitive, but it works out ok. There probably is a bit of ethanol left in there, but I feel like I've gotten quite near all of it. I cant smell any ethanol when I open the jars, I could the last time I did it. It has much more of a taffy texture, but its very strong and I'm lovin it :biggrin:

im puffin on some chem dawg wax atm. i also have some GSC wax as well as some blue dream honey comb. im down to about10 grams total and have been turning it into shatter in small batches (appx. 2-3 grams at a time). i just prefer working with shatter. its smother on the lungs than wax and i feel like it tastes better in shatter form too. just my 2 cents, keep up the good work everyone. just out of curiosity how many of you blast straight onto an oil slick pad? check out this article... http://skunkpharmresearch.com/spraying-butane-directly-on-silicone-mats/

I blast onto glass only, PTFE is becoming the newest craze...

Oil Slick now makes an Oil Slick ” Sheet”.. Comes in a roll and is supposed to be safe to spray onto.
I believe you can only use it once though, which could get pricey.

double chocolate by eskobar. been having lots of autobudder issues when purging due to too much heat but i think i'e got the hang of it now.

i think those containers are ok since the butane has been mostly if not all purged out by the time you get to filling your dab containers. its spraying liquid butane directly onto silicone mats or anytype of silicone that it becomes an issue. the mattes (usually used during the purging process) act as a sponge for butane and can absorb up to 1/3 of its own weight in butane. the question is, what does it bring back out of the silicone matts when you purge it (if you spray directly onto the mattes instead of pyrex) if you spray onto pyrex evaporate most o f the butane and then scape your extraction onto the mat i think it should be fine. im not sure of the toxicity of silicone but i know it is used in a lot of cooking/ kitchen equipment. it would seem that some silicone is food grae and some is not and i do believe they make the oil slick matts from food grade silicone. and apparently the company that makes oil slik pads has a new model that you can spray directly onto for extractions. (the previous models were not designed for butane extractions or any extractions besides what one would encounter in food prep). so after doing some more research i do plan on picking up one of these new mats. and i still use my silcone dab jar... like i said all the butane is out of it by the time it goes in the jar. i usually make shatter to ensure that there is as close to zero impurities as possible. id be weary to place just straigh bho in there (not wax or shatter but oil) because it has alot more butane left in it. also i know iso is ok to use directly on the mat but im not sure of the other solvents such as hexane and the others. dont qoute me on this but i want to say it was just butane that the mats absorb.

This purple Nepal Is getting its first flip after 17 hours in the oven at 75*. I turned the temps up to 85 for the next vacuum session.

random question here for those that dont make their own wax/shatter/bho etc...how much are ounces going for these day.im in humboldt and have seen prices for as low as 200 but up to 600. im wondering why there is such differences in prices... maybe the more processed oil that has been winterized and dewaxed can make up for some of the price...like i said just curious

also how would i get oil disolved in iso to solidify? i like to use the recycled oil from my oil rig when im low on wax or shatter... seems no mater what i do it remains runny. i thought by applying heat it would become shatter but like i said im having trouble getting it to solidify... any help would be greatly appreciated!

The oil decarboxylation occurs when the oil contacts the nail.
It is best used in edibles in my opinion, strong sedative sleep meds.
