Ok i don't post much cuz iam just the type of person that thinks all the answers to any question is here ,so why post.Have been a member of og for years.But i have to tell of the experience that has occurred. A order was made to this place.After one month of calling at first brain said call the money order place and see if has been cashed.Ok he uses dhl so i recieved some mylar in original packege(did not like this)but i had done some biz with him before.And had got packeges before and had good service.So i call dhl and the packege is lost.Dhl tells me to make a claim.They begin to ask the what was in the box.So i say computer parts.He ships with a return the says maryland eletronics.I stopped there and said i would call the person i got the products from.Now i make a call to brain and tell him that dhl says to make a claim and it will take up to 30 days to get a refund.Brain tells me on the phone the that in his experience dhl does not pay claims.And that i would have to itemize every thing that was in the box.Iam not fuc@@ng doing that period.Now let me begin to say what happen t say that there is a breach of security.At first he said that if you use a money order there is no record.After many calls he tells me to hold on i said maybe i gave a email and he would of emailed me the tracking number,brain said hold on give me your name and city and i will bring it up. on his website it has a privicy statent this blew my mind.That someone can call and complain and get tracking numbers from him.So thats how i got the tracking number.Brain said on the phone that about 7 people a week or month get there packege lost.He said nothing postive on the phone.In nice words it boiled down to tuff sh#t it is your lost.He said if i had used a credit card i would have the money back.I said iam not going to leave paper trails(go to his website and read his privicy statement)he got mad..So ther is record being kept.He said his sales would make my head spin.So i think if he sends 500 orders a day that the 7 he does not care about.It is a lost.He said what can i do to make you happy.i want my packege.dhl is a small company and this happens.Now i said ok i will send a other money order can you just cut me a check for the amount he said what happens if they don't pay the amont the i lose again.It not like its only 50 dollars iam out 300.so all in all every person should now that there is a chance if you pay by money order you will lost it all.He said that if they even pay the claim the money goes to him not me.SO why can't he make the claim?
This is way i say that on og discount hydro was a sponser and many of us supported him.Beware of him.I have made other orders and got the products.This is bullsh#t.There is nothing i can do.If anyone nows brain come on in this thread :fsu: .For all you Fuc#ing trolls and flamers stay out of this thread.Iam only stating the facts. :fsu: :fsu: :fsu: :fsu: :fsu: :badday: :cuss: iam going to his ebay store next!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Wow...just wow. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with stoners for customers lol!

There's no security issue here, just you ranting.

Dude it's the shipper that files the claim and recieves the refund, NOT THE Reciever. If he tells you other wise, he is full of shit. 7 ppl a week losing packages is an awfull lot of losses. no matter how much he ships.

yes mary hydro does not care about you. they do have the cheapest prices on anything lighting . horti 1000w bulbs for $64, is 1/2 of what my local hydro stores sell em for. but they are so busy they could care less about your security or your order. i used to live in driving distance, and would take the 4-5 hour round trip and go pick everything up. i since moved and had continued to use them through shipping. bad move. all the cooltubes i ordered from them came in broken, when i called them they said to call dhl to have them come out and inspect the packages. lol. like id do that.
then i ordered unbreakables like a 8 inch fan, and paid extra for dbl boxing , knowing they just send em out in the original box. they stuck the 8 inch in a 10 inch fan box and sent it. lol.
and hes lying when he says if you pay with a credit card ,youd have got your money back, cause i did and never got anything.
they have at least 15 orders stacked up out in the front room of there store going out everytime im there. hes the busiest hydro shop ive ever seen.
they do beat everyone on prices, but dont care about you, your order , or your security. oh and there website is the worst ive ever tried to navigate through. none of the pages work .lol. ive decided id rather pay more and be sure the stuff was gonna be in one piece. oh and why they use dhl is beyond me. they are the worst, my 2 roomates from a few years back both worked for them and laughed daily about how careless and useless the whole company is.
i worked for ups for a few years , and although they break plenty of stuff too, my stories were nowhere near as bad as theirs were,lol.
im with ya buddy, sure its a rant , but its a rant about security, cause the issue they compromise security, even though they still charge you extra to dbl box. is more important to me than a few broken items and losing a few hundred $$

DHL blows. I receive packages daily from UPS, and 3-4 a month from Fed-Ex and 1-2 a month from DHL. I have had ONE claim for UPS in 8 years. None with Fed-Ex or DHL but they would deliver stuff to the wrong address, delay delivery, etc etc. I can not even get into the horror stories with DHL. But heres a clue. DHL is shipping overnight at UPS Ground Rates, plus a $2.50 up charge. So its a good deal and shippers are going towards it, but DHL cant compete in service.

Filing a claim is usually the receivers obligation. At least with UPS it is. Then the shipper is reimbursed. If a shipper is not willing to help out, that should be a big clue.

Another clue would be their web site. It sucks, half the pages/categories are blank. I never would order from them.

I have done some business with HTG, and BGHydro. Both good. HTG even shipped me a bulb for warranty before getting the bad one back, no hassle.

With seven packages getting lost a month someone at that company is getting a little extra money on the side. If he can get away with 7 a week, I am sure him or someone else is packing his car with an item each night to make a liitle extra cash. Happens all the time.

I worked for UPS years ago in several different possitions so I know the whole business from the ground up. I worked from ramp to LVS to the office and even in customer relations. I must say they are very competitive and try to keep on top, but one thing they lack is making sure the packages stays in one piece.

We use to throw computers over head into the cans (loading carts) followed by a crash and the sound of something breaking. Then when the boss would come to inspect the can he would see the boxes every which way with up arrows pointing down and boxes half crushed and say, "okay, good job, close her up and send her on her way!" Every aspect of that company was great with the one exception of mis-handled goods. From what I here now it has changes greatly from when I was there.

The funniest thing I remember when I use to help customs is when boxes are set aside for customs to inspect, we would take them off the customs shelf and send them on their way to prevent the extra work. Funny thing was most the time customs didn't have a list of what to inspect and relied on just what was piled on the customs shelf to do the inspections. They had the paper work may be half the time, but even then didn't bother to look what was missing because customs people were friends with upper management at UPS. Even if something was missing it was written up as a lossed package and kept secret, because it would cost UPS $20,000 for each package not checked that went out without inspection if head custom officials were to find out.

I don't know if it continues, but it was like that for the seven years I was there. Crazy eh? Now if someone in a drug organization new someone like me, I could have made the operation sail smoothly (not that I would) and made a fortune at the same time.

All in all, UPS is okay in my books.

If you are local to mdhydro, don't drive there with a car thats registered to your grow address. Trust me on this one, and if you don't believe me keep your eyes peeled when you leave the shop. :nono:

My driver told me years ago about the conveyor system they had the packages would travel on. I forget but it was pretty high, 20-30 feet? He told me a big box would jam it up and every box behind it would crash to the ground. There would be a huge pile by the time someone stopped it.

UPS is not that great on handling boxes but somehow I have received thousands of shipments and only had 1-2 claims. One was water damage as the driver was delivering in a rain storm and the box was on the floor in the back of the truck and got wet every time he opened the back door. He knew it when he dropped it off. Bad part was the shipment was retail boxes inside that got wet and ruined.

same here.I've ordered lots of things from BGHydro never an issue...I also just got a bad bulb from HTG and they sent me a new one no questions asked..Told me to send the old one back in the same box as the new one he was sending..thats was cool in my book..

I have used MH and BGhydro, that last four yrs, no problems, except I quit using MH because they won't use anything other than DHL, and I had them deliver a replacement bulb to the wrong address, and I had to be the one to track it down. I also would be leary of UPS, as I listen to a popo scanner all the time, and have heard where they have stings set up for whatever reason, but the leo will meet them by the delivery site to coordinate details, and then they send the driver to deliver then the bust, not sure what the contraband was. But after the replacement light fiasco, if MH wont use a diff shipper, I don't use them, period. DHL sucks the worst of the shippers. I see where they all raised their rates for after the new year, especially airmail, wanna bet seed prices go up...?!

Brain at MH is one of the bifggest assholes in the east coast hydro business. Yes, his prices on lighting is the best...his business plan is this...
sell cheap lighting to get people into the store, so they can buy more things...And he bitches and complains when you don't buy anything other then lights....
I use to live in the area, I would go there all the time...I spent thousands of dollars with this guy,,,buying way more then just lighting. But with Brian, it's never good enough....I have never seen business owner bitch to their customers that they don't buy the "right" things. Everything I use to go in there a custumer and him would always be going at it. Brain always f's his customers. Like you said, it's a numbers game to him. which is no problem...but,
The price on his light is basiclly at cost. He makes no profit with his lights. but other hydro dealers in the area hate him. He undercuts the compiption by way to much...Brain seems to like to f everyone he deals with.

I was just there at the store a month ago, and yes, I go to have my words with him again...he was complaining, again, about why people don't buy more the just lights.

And yes, I was driving a rental car, but as i left the parking lot and drive up to Mcdonalds to spin around to go back on route 1 i saw an undercover car parked within sight of the front door of the store...i would go there in your car, and keep your head down nad hat on, cause when you go to MD hydro you can be rest assured that your picuture is probably being taken.....SMILE.

I purchased 2 cooltubes from MH half a year ago. They arrived fine without any problems. Also got a 6" Vortex from them on the same order. Again, no issues. But if this thread is correct, that's my last time dealing with them and I am glad I lucked out on an intact order and the stuff wasn't sent to my neighbor(s)

I lost 300.00 and brain said that in his experince they do not pay the claims.And that i would be lucky if i got a claim number!!He said nothing over the phone that indicated any thing positive!! I can't believe that any one can call there and get the tracking number.So what would leo be able to do???
