Using a drier duct whats better for a 3 x 5 room . Using it for intake or exhaust? The duct is high about 4 1/2 feet from ground. putting an intake fan, where would it be better on the ground or in the air?

Use it for exhaust...you want exhaust high and intake low as heat rises. If your room isn't sealed and you use a big enough exhaust fan you may not need an intake fan at all...you may have enough passive intake air.

Alright now how many people let the exhaust go outside. A back draft during the colder days, and when the lights go out it gets cold in there too cold for the plants. I put a heater in there before.

you need to scrub the air before it goes outside...as for the backdraft, if you are concerned put a flapper to prevent air from comming in...most dryer vents already have them on the outside of the house
