Hello

Now i grow with these dirtpots, these are textile pots.
Professional brand.

Vendor says i can wash and use them again atleast 3-4times.

Now im thinking how to do this right ?

1 prewash for hand, remove most of the dirt, perlite and stuff.
2 right after that throw them in machine maybe with Vinegar?

Why Vinegar?

Is Vinegar best use when wash textile pots?

You dont want grow in AJAX maybe ?

Professional told me before wash GoreTex clothes only with Vinegar.

So now i am thinking, this is maybe also best for dirt/textile pots?

.
Also
Vinegar is known as grass/weed killer.
This is why im little worried.

Maybe it works when done in washingmachine with right dosage ?

Maybe you know something better ? Please help then

Ajax i dont know that either

you don't need anything, just warm water in the machine will surely clean it good enough, then sun dry to disinfect them

You will destroy your washing machine if you will clean dirty pots inside her..

how i know that??? Because i was destroy one with washing fabric pots..

and one thing more, after you wash your fabric pots for few runs then also
other things that you will wash in this same machine will start to smell funky..

i guess some tiny particles of soil and organic dirt was somehow left inside and this
goes rotting and all mine t-shirts and other wardrobe started to smell like umbrella
after rain when she is not dry enough.. no matter on softner they stinked..

so i needed to buy new washing machine...

mine advice to you will be to not wash them at all but to aloud them they go totally
dry fabric and then go out in yard, put them on one heap and kick them good with
some stick that dust fall off from pots and they will be again ready for new runs..

:yeahthats

I agree with Dog Star... Do not put them in your washing machine...

Cut a plastic 55 gallon drum in half. Now you have two, 27 gallon wash tubs...

wash the fabric pots by hand in these tubs..

And don't take them to the coin operated laundry... Would you feel right destroying someone else's washing machines?

Oh heck! My underwear are more dirty than used cloth pots, and they only stress the washing machine a little bit. Oops, I shouldn't have said that on a public forum :(

Explanation that comes with this fabric pots are "You can easily wash them in wash machine!!!"

What they dont tell you is that you will fuck up your washing machine and all wardrobe you wash later in this same machine.. so you will need to buy new one..

last summer i was encounter problem with mine wardrobe as wife
was put inside softner to smell good but anyway wardrobe was
stink awfull on me,specialy if i get more sweat in Summer time..

so i started to search what is wrong.. and then after some time
i understanded that fabric pots that you made organics is a big
no,no to wash in washing machine..

Am solved problem and now mine t-shirts and other smell again
normaly nice.. but like i said.. i needed to buy new machine
or this problem will never be solved..

Yes i could be silent and not share this story and playing for"washing machine" and fabric pots loby.. ;D LOL
but i needed to share some experience,as i think its not OK to trick people if i already know for this..

if i save one washing machine with mine advice that will be cause
a people have ears and can recognize potential danger that
brings bad praxis of washing fabric pots inside washing
machines that wash also some other things..

To kick them dryed with a stick and then shake off good when outdoor is a good enough to clean them for new run..

actually they dont need to be washed.. that will be proper and
corect advice..

WOW

nice, thanx to all of you, so helpfull info.

My washing machine is very expensive. 1300euros, im allergic. I need this special washing machine.
And this is lots of money for me. LOTS.
i TOOK a 3years loan for that, i cant risk this.

I will wash them for hand with water only end see.

Also because i run organic these will be simplier wash than syntehetic nutrients ?

No hard salt or so

Comfortably numb!
I allow my plants to completely (soil) dry before harvest. Then I turn them insider out, scrub with a bristle brush and hose them down (from the outside in). Hang on the line to dry. It's soert of a PITA but worth it IMHO. :)

I have 18 3gallon smart pots, each spring I hit them with the waterhose. Then i toss them into a wheelbarrow and fill with water. Let them sit a few days with periodic "agitating" within the wheelbarrow. Dump water and refill a few times.. hang dry.

Seems to work fine for me.
