hey all im planning on getting a grow tent either a 4x8 or 8x8.. now I have vented hoods and was figuring on running a air line to pull air from out side to cool the hood then back out side.

now if i go that way will a grow tent hold the co2 in or do they leak it? now what would i need to set up a complete co2 system?

now as for cooling the room i figured im going to need ac of sort.. now what kind of ac system would i need for a tent?

First off you need to have the fans off and the room relatively well sealed to see benefits from the co2 supplementation. Your best bet is to apply the co2 for the first couple hours of lights on in the morning then switch on your intake/ exhaust system. There are many different methods of adding co2, including; propane generators, co2 tanks w/ regulators, or even homemade methods using yeast, sugar, and water

I was faced with the same thing a few years back and it was a 4x8 tent I wanted to Co2. So what I ended up doing is cooling and adding Co2 to the bedroom the tent was in, then used two 8" blowers on the tent's intake, and exhaust.

The idea behind my madness was, again keep the room the tent was in at 75*f with Co2 around 1500ppm, and then run that through the tent with the two 8" blowers so the bedroom and tent was only like 2-3* difference, and it worked perfectly for me.

But did end up using more Co2 then really was needed for the 4x8 tent, it was not that much more onced I sealed up the bedroom itself well, and that seemed to be the key on Co2 savings.

Good luck. :tiphat:
