coming up on first grow, not ready till march. got beans today. in little ziplocks, was gonna just store in little wooden chest in closet...i hear fridge...what's best for stability and a good success rate of germination. want to do what's best 4 my babies...
gonna keep them just like they were prior to getting them. in ziplock inside envelope....and in my little wooden chest in closet. no need for severe temp swing, may unstabilize them...

Perfect way to store them for a month. If you keep them in a cool, dark, dry spot, you will be have no problems germinating them. I keep mine in small containers with rice. The rice keeps the humidity and moisture levels constant. Keeping these in a cool dark place, they will stay for years.
The best way to store them is with labels. Other than that I can't be much service. I live in a basement and it's always nice and cool. I'm hoping to get a bigger place this spring so I can have multiple grows. I am also concerned about the seeds I purchased. I would like to grow them out ASPA and make new, fresh seeds.
I found some 15-20 year old seeds a few years back in a table drawer. They germinated. I'll bet there's still a few more in there if I dig deep enough.
