one light up on top shelf and below will be another light. Two shelves for clones.

The clone shelfs are 2' x 68", the mother area and clone working space will be 5' x 5' x 8'. The two stadium rooms are 8' x 6' x 5'. Any sudjustion for wattage in each room? I was thanking two 400 watt M/H in each stadium room and a 400 watt HPS for the mother and the 4' flouresents for the clones.

Nice bro i saw the northern farmer thread that inspired you. I would love to set one up ,just don't have the room. I would go with 2 600 digi HPS in each of the flowering rooms. I would just use CFLs for moms . A 400 HPS for a mom is a waste of electricity IMHO . A t5 will be more than enough for a happy moma. Sweet room hope to see some more updates as you build it out!

Are you going 8' long or wide?

I question whether the 400W's in the flower room will be enough light?

I've never flowered with anything less than 1000's in my years so I really don't know. I'm just assuming. I'd hate to inspire people with the amount of buds I get and see them disappointed.

I appreciate the concern on the light issue. Your advise will help aid me in my decision where I have not yet ordered the lamps or seeds yet. I currently have the two 4' three bulb flouresents, a two bulb flouresent and a 400 watt HPS.

What is the best m/h or hps for flowering?

i tend to follow the micro-grows, but this is looking like a good tutorial . i hope you keep the pics coming along with a brief explanation of what you are doing and how you are doing it.
like the others, i think you are way underpowered with just 400w covering 30 sq. ft. of floor area.

It look's like a small commercial setup, deffently way more space spend then needed for personal growing.

I would not waste all that space on a veg and flower area, now I don't know where you are located, but if I was you I would hook both rooms up as a flower room. With a switch you can use run both flower rooms with one set of ballasts, growing SOG you could eleminate your Veg periode more or less.

For Flowering HPS is the best, alot of growers use mixed light with great succes. So if you have to make a choise between MH and HPS I would go with 600 Watt HPS lights.

Maybe 2x 600 Watt HPS per room and a 400 MH for your mother room, you could also easy use your 400 Watt HPS there as you got that ballast already. You can just buy a full spectrum HPS comvection bulp, that will work fine for your mother room.

The veg room is for mothers. You take your clones of of your mothers.

I agree with everything about the lights. Flower with 600w HPS and veg mothers with 400w MH.

My bad I did'nt close read the thread, I assumed the little room where for a few mothers and clones. 1 room for veg and 1 room for flower, thats how I thourt he would use the space. Unless he's starting with a whole collection of strains, there would IMO not be need of a huge room for mothers.




I use a small toilet for mother room, I don't have a fresh pic but I have several strains and just give room for the strain I wanna grow. Take clones and let another strain grow big, that way I can grow different strains every run.

Anyway it was just my sugestion on how I would set it up, now it's devided up as it is trying to get most out of it.

Finished my work for today.....

completed the center divider wall.

Completed the main dividing wall

completed the "VEG room" or i call the clone and mother room....

get to growing your new room is almost ready.....

Tomorrow I will be cutting in the doors and working on the ventiliation which I will be using a porition of my A/C for my house to maintain a temp for my operation.......

Northern Farmer... You suggest two 600 watt HPS per flowering Room? A 400 watt MH for the mother is this what you would feel is adequate light for this operation?

Any coments and suggestion please they are appreciated!!!
