Best tents on the market; Secret Jardain / Growlab

Alright so I'm about a month away from officially starting my op. Right now I have a supersun 2 reflector, 1000 watt lumatek, stuck between a S&P fan or Elicient. I plan on running Blazeoneup's RDWC setup and I am accumulating all the pieces right now.

One big decision that I cant make my mind up about is what tent I should choose for my babies. It's between a DR150 and a Growlab145. Basically if you were me which option would you go with, Growlab or Secret Jardain?

I would actually go with a sunhut if you can find one, I got mine for $200 which is awesome, the poles&corners are metal (PLASTIC on the darkroom!)

I have used a darkroom and so has my roommate; they both broke. The plastic corners on his (almost causing everything to cave in and break!) And the zippers on both of ours broke. Can't speak to the quality of the growlabs, I thought about getting one of those myself before I saw the sunhut.

Anyways I can't say enough good things about them; no off-gassing, great zippers, great frame, quality shit.

I'm looking to buy the same size tent as you. I have and DR 80 that I have used in the past with a 600 watt light. I'm now going to use the DR 80 as my veg room and upgrade to the DR 150 or Growlab 145 for my flower room with a 1000 watt light.

I've owned a couple different brands of tents and the dark room has been my favorite so far. It looks like alot places are replacing/selling their inventory of the dark rooms and now pushing the growlabs. The growlab tents look high quality and very similar to the dark rooms so I would not have a problem buying one. I'm also a satisfied dark room user and I really like the door opening on the dark room.

Maybe I should just flip a coin? Naw, I'll probably buy the tent that has the best bang for the buck but it will either be the dark room or growlab brands. The dark rooms seem to have a better price so I'm kinda leaning towards getting another one.

Secret Jardin, imo. I own a couple, and they are great tents. The first models had some issues, but since 2008 they have been selling updated models with better zippers and other improvements.

Deep down, they are comparable products though, and as such, you'll mostly find Growlab owners recommending Growlab and Jardin owners recommending Darkroom.

I have heard some specific issues with the Growlab tents tho, apparently the outside material was not bonded to the reflective material properly on some, and bubbles form when the material is rubbed. I also hear the window in the front is gimmicky and leaks light due to poor implementation. Members have reported corners breaking when they set the growlab tents up.

That is not to say I've not heard of random issues with the Jardin tents, but very few, and thinking it over, I've heard about the same amount of catastrophic problems from both, but the Jardin tents have been out for years. Growlab seems to have racked up at least as many weird complaints in a matter of months.

Picked up a smaller version of the growlab. Sturdy metal frame, convenient airflow options, ample lightproofing. Can't speak to the Secret Jardin, but I believe there is a reason why businesses are discontinuing the sales of the Jardin in favor of the Growlab.

I own a GL80 and yes there are some light leaks in the front of the tent coming through the windows. I have a 400w CMH on the outside of the tent for my veg area and though the light leaking in is minuscule I've solved this problem with a sheet of poly black/white.

The quality of the tent makes up for the light leaks. None of the plastic corners broke on me (they have with another no name brand tent - htgsupply).

Either one you can't go wrong, imo.

I own two a growlab 60 and a jardin both tore one the corners when putting them together and both have small light leaks, however these problems were both fixed with a little duct tape and metalic tape. I reccomend buying a tent with silver reflective matrial not white, and metal supports not pvc, and just find one that fits to the size you need is the best way to go.

Originally I was going to go with the Growlabs although I thought the whole window thing was kind of tacky. They both look like they are constructed very well and made of durable sturdy material. I'm not quite sure now but I might lean towards the secret jardin.. + the growlabs are too new to have sufficient reviews..

I just got a growlab and havent had anyproblems with it at all yet. Everything seems to be sturdy with my filter, 6"vortex and 600W aircooled sunsystem hood all hanging.

i just saw the grow lab and Im not sure but those adjustable socks are kinda cool ,,i might think about those for tear down,,also I am sick of buying clamps!!!!!!

as far as the construction,,looks real good and sturdy
