Best Tent For 1K?

I have a sun system 2 hood, 1k hortilux bulb, sun system 10 1k ballast, 2x 6" vortex fans, a 6" axial duct fan, a 40LB 6" Carbonaire CF....


I have 10 now, I am going to flower 8 plants under 1k (8 pretty big plants...) And I will have 2 as mothers. They are exactly 30 days from clone today this picture is 8 days old they've grown a lot since then ill update the pix later but im just wondering what tent you guys like the best...

I don't have those, but I do have a homebox xs and the quality is great.

takes 10 minutes to put together unless you're an idiot.

I'd say Darkroom for sure for a 1k.

My dr150 has been tip top for the past year or so, and my dr120 as well for a bit longer. Every respected member on this site who I have seen comment on the 2008 model Darkroom tents says they love them.

Same for the Homebox tents. Unfortunately, the Homebox XL sizing is not right for a 1k. It's just under 4x4, so you'll be lucky to cram a 4x4 tray in there, and that leaves you no breathing room on the sides at all.

It can be done, I myself started out running my 1k in the 4x4 dr120, but it is a much more comfortable arrangement in the dr150.

As for the Growlab tents, they are unproven in the market, and the feedback so far has been mixed. The one reliable person I've seen on here who has one says he likes it but wishes he had gotten a Darkroom. On other sites, I have seen complaints about the front window they added, apparently not implemented well and leaks light and was described as "gimmicky."

I also think the Growlab distributor is shady, as they are out there bashing on the Darkroom tents for things like the zippers which they definitely know were improved/fixed in the 2008 models. That's a really lame thing to do, its like bashing on someone for not finishing college when you know they graduated a year ago.

GC Hydro seems ok, but they wanted 30 dollars to ship one to the west coast and 70 dollars to ship to the east coast.

I've been using the newer Silver Sunhut XL (@ 4'6" x 4'6" x 7') for over 3 months with absloutely NO problems. Plenty of room for 2, 2'x4' E&F trays with a 1'x3' tray in the middle.
I thought a 600W hps in a SS Supersun2 would cover the space, but added a 432W T5 later to pump up the lumens. Now i believe a 1000W HID would be perfect for this tent & it's size.
$190 - 200 - Glad i got it after seeing a DR-120 - it's just heavier duty & simpler.
