Best strains to grow/harvest for making dabs?

So basically I got a buddy that needs some help and I haven't kept up or grown in about 3-4 years. He is looking to begin growing himself and wants to grow some strains that will give him the higher returns on dab conversion after harvest. Though I have a lot of reading to do I figured you guys could get me started with some good ideas. This will be an indoor grow, not sure yet whether soil/hydro.

But anyway, so what's ur advice? What are some good strains that will give a solid yield with high thc % that would be good for making dabs. Also, what are currently some good sites/vendors to then buy these said strains from? Sites that you've had good experience with.

Yea, definitely looking for the higher % strains. Do you know breeder/brand name or can recommend a good place to buy the strains you've suggested?

Sour d is a producer with notorious nose that comes thru when vaped

Tangie by Reserva Privada has been wining awards in concentrates as of late.

Some indicas from different companies, like Sensi Star, Hindu Kush, Master Kush, Maple Leaf Indica, Sour Bubble..

Some do not yield as well as others, but decently.

Seed boutique or seedbay are reliable places to acquire seeds.

I'd look more for resin production than profile since it can all be decarbed during the processing itself, profile'd be nxt to irrelevant to me.
Profile only being half the potency equation until it's separated from the bud, profile=potency's a marketing pile the seed industry's been perpetuating for a while, but isn't how it works when we're growing bud n not pure resins/oils.

Gorilla Glue #4, Kosher Kush, 24KT Gold, LSD(Barneys Farm), Deadhead OG, Exodus Kush. Those have been the strains that give me the best yield. Usually 5-7 grams per ounce of bud.

I have run them all as strain specific batches. The Glue, Kosher, and Exodus had the best flavor.

I've had exceptional yields from running extractions with the Chem D cutting ... Tho some of our Chem d bho batches were lacking the flavors that the flowers had so much of . Unsure why .


Lemon Diesel has excellent flavor retention in extractions .. Although certainly not the best yielder in flowers or concentrate returns


Super Lemon Haze gave us high thc% 's , above average returns , and dabs with a very nice flavor
