Best states for various purposes?

I was originally going to only ask about the recreationally legal states, but I guess even medical ones would do in some cases. Although I probably am not going to move, I haven't closed my mind to the idea, even though my state may legalize in 2 years. I have wondered for a while so time to ask the question.

Which is the best state for:

1). small personal use home growers?
2). large personal use to those that part with a little excess?
3). commercial growers seeking to make a decent living but not a killing?
4). those looking to get rich off of being commercial growers?

In the states that are recreationally legal, what are the laws like for those that may wish to grow plenty for breeding or other purposes? thanks!

Anywhere, actually. Just have to heed common sense.

Grew long before CO was legal...lived in other now MMJ/ rec. states.

yes, I know people grow and do well even in draconian southern and midwest states... that's not what I meant. For starters, what state that is legal for recreational use allows you to grow the most plants and/or is the most reasonable in that regard? I mean, reasonable plant counts not just 6 or 12. A few dozen on up? This is not my only question as you can see from my opening post, just a starting point...

Don't get fresh with me! :D
The reason I posted a thread instead of "doing a search" or going to a site that often has outdated info is that I am looking for first hand experiences with people living in these places. But somehow I think you already knew that. Thanks anyway

PS. no harm done, but looking for REAL answers... anyone?

Cali you can grow personal no problems(6/6) and you can blow it up in some northern counties with up to 99 or more if your ballsy,Also legal to move your excess to dispos or other 215 patients.Get rich quick is be ready and try to grab a commercial license in a newly legal state, probably too late in washington/oregon already, lol.
Washi, oregon, colorado i dont think you can sell your excess to dispos, has to come from state licensed producers.Everything in flux now though so who knows,i treat it the same as i always have, like its illegal.

Colorado is great for #1, even with the plant counts. If you're willing to give up the idea of making money at it, then it's smooth sailing. Even observing the plant counts, the wife & I never run out & we're generous with our friends, too.

People with med cards often get extended plant counts. I've yet to feel the need to go in that direction, but I have no illusions of finding the Holy Grail in any pollen chucking I might do, either. Hell, I don't even do mothers/clones, having grown very good weed from seed.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about it is that people can live different lifestyles while legally growing their own weed at the same time. It's not just for counter culture risk takers anymore. If you can make their numbers work for you, CO authorities can't bother you & seem loathe to try, at least here in Denver. At the present time, federal authorities apparently won't either because you're not violating their enforcement guidelines.

They're def working together to bust big-boy growers/exporters, same as everywhere. Various cities/counties limit legal grow size in various ways, but they can't push anybody under the constitutional limits of A64.

I prefer the solid state for combusting, the liquid state for dabbing and the gaseous state for inhaling...

like that^

Mostly like that. When I grew indoors 30 years ago, nobody saw it but me, ever. Today, even though what I'm doing is legal, very few people have actually seen it, and that's mostly been the wife's doing. Such is the price of Love.

My odor control is immaculate, however, with a spare filter waiting. There's no odor in the house, other than in the grow itself, let alone outside. Our property has too much public exposure to play it any other way. No point in attracting trouble.

Hello all,

I prefer an altered state myself....but that's just me I guess.

Just a side note: Even though you can grow in Norcal...where you live may not permit growing outdoors...city ordinances and what not.

"1). small personal use home growers?"

I'd say California from my experience. Not that I have experience with tons of states. I grew in Florida and Georgia for 10 years before I moved out here. California is better because it's legal as long as you see a doctor once a year.

I never got busted in Florida or Georgia, but the risk was always there. The risk of losing your career and spending years in prison for growing a few plants in your closet. If you just want to grow your own weed, legal is better.

When I first moved to California (Fremont), I noticed that I'd smell weed all the time just driving through certain neighborhoods. It was easy to tell where people were growing. I've kept up the odor control with my grows even if small grows are legal here. "Trouble" can mean cops or it can mean people who want to steal the plants you've worked for.

Yeah ... no kidding !

In ******* **** they should just change the street names.

"Skunk Blvd"

"Martin Luther Skunk Way"

"G13 Avenue" ... and so on.

I like the smell (generally), but not for my own place.

I thank those who offered serious responses. It may be too late in CO and WA, but which between the 2 has the friendliest laws for growing a moderate to large amount?
