Best/reliable TDS/PPM/EC/pH meters

I HATE my Milwaukee 3-1 smart meter. Not happy that I spent $200+ on a meter that now seems worthless.

I keep yellowing out my plants and don't really want to buy a replacement probe for this meter. I would rather buy one that I know will perform well into the future.

What meters to ya guys use? Which is the best? How do you properly care for it? How long do they last?

Thanks alot fellas and gals

I like my hanna ph/ppm/ec meter HI98129

I can replace the electrode and has been working good for over a year now.

never needed to calibrate yet either. I use hanna storage solution and hanna cleaner to maintain the electrode.

Got the same meter HI98129 a few months ago... make sure you calibrate it when you get it cause mine was way off... I've tested it a few times and it's been spot on... usually store it in tap water or 4.01 ph solution...

Theres no such thing as a PPM or TDS meter.

Of the EC meters that display EC the Bluelab EC Truncheon rules supreme. EC meters that hide EC in favor of meaningless nonsense (ppm or tds) are a complete crapshoot. My own informal survey revealed the least crappy as Oakton, followed by Milwaukee with Hanna at the bottom.

The pH pens are much the same. Interestingly, Bluelab's pH Truncheon seems to be the most universally despised.

I use the EC Truncheon and a $5 test drop kit.
