Best Pot-Head Friendly Jobs

I've been wondering where I should look for a job. I'm kind of bored, and need to do something other then grow my herb, at least while I'm not in school.

So lets take a vote at IC, what jobs do you consider "cool" or even slightly "fun" for a straight up pot head?

Let the games begin.

I thought of the book store, or local hydro store.

Bartending. I used to have a blast doing it and on occasion do it for free. It's all about having a good time. You hear all kinds of hilarious stories and meet a wide spectrum of people. The money isn't bad either/depending on the type of place you work. I worked in bar/pool hall/restaurant in a large town. People would come in there and stay the whole night racking up large bills and as a result big tips. Everyone shared the tip money and we probably averaged 200-250 on weekends. Weekdays you could make anywhere from 60-100 for five hours. Being around a bunch of drunks is hllarious and they rarely notice if your high. And if they do--as a bartender you already know all about them through their drunk ramblings to know if their cool or not. Good place to make friends.

I've worked retail jobs while being really high and no one notices it. A lot more friendly and patient actually. =D

I think Electrical Engineering is great while high.

I work from home, answering phones. DOn't get much better than that. I tend my plants on my break, and IC is always up in the background. Hell, I'm doing OT right now

I used to work in a growshop. Met a lot of intresting people, learnt to grow with hydro (all kinds of things for displays), got stuff with discount, got a few clones...happy days but money was shit so no more. Now I'm a photographers assistant which is not as much fun but pays.

Painting is a doddle stoned. Still a bit boring and the other people doing it can rot your brain with numbingly stupid conversation, but it pays quite well.

I'd work in a plant nursery if I were you. They won't tolerate you openly blazing, but it's a job that goes well with being a bit high. And you learn important skills.

It's better to be outside when the weather is good.

If your completly stuck and have no other options.,Resteraunt work ..i don't reccomend it ..i did it for years before my job now...but i have never worked in another industry where so many people did drugs as when working in resteraunts..very drug friendly.. IMHO

Wow, great replies so far. I've been thinking about looking into my local hydro shop. I'd love to be a photographers assistant, I love photography.

I refuse to work in the food industry, it's just shitty.. I have heard that particular industry is real drug friendly.

How in the hell do you land a paying job answer phones from your own casa?

Yeah, I'm thrilled with my job

I'll have a J in the ashtray, sipping on coke to keep the cottonmouth at bay, and then on break I'll run down and tend the girls.

3 weeks PTO, my choice of 5 diff health plans, 3 dental, and 2 eye plans. I also opted for the pre-paid legal insurance I had the pet insurance too, but the dogs don't get hurt that often

Pays great for what I have to do, the tax breaks are awesome (half of my rent, phone, power and water bills are deductible as work expense ). Plus a monthly bonus.

The commute rocks too

I get a helluva discount too - My wife got a robot floor cleaner for christmas, I paid less than half of retail.

I am a glassblower and i think that that is one of the best matches for a pothead. Make fun pieces for friends and a lil coin as well.

i like this thread for sure. i'm looking for ways of making money. i like hitting up craigslist and browsing all the jobs, all the services offered...the gigs... just hitting random people up...getting convos started. just networking and seeing whats out there currently. kinda funny to see what other human beings are up to...how others are surviving in this world. gives you ideas too...
in the meantime...construction-type work... maybe start serving for breakfast.

Basically, any place that doesn't have a pre-employment drug screening and doesn't conduct random screenings is fair game.
