Best place to order a good 400watt MH?

Just curious, i've had my bulb for close to 2 years, and i've just started some prize genetics, so i'd like to order the best (for the value) light I can give these babbies for veg (then eventually share this and a 400 watt hps for flower) Any websites that have good deals and any suggestions on which bulb would be appreciated.

PEC sells 400w bulbs for something along the lines of $11 - $12 per bulb, with cheap shipping. I think the 400w's are the best price point among the bulbs they sell, as far as price per watt. I believe they're the actual manufacturers of these bulbs.

I thought I'd suggest finding a local hydroponics shop, and they usually have good selections. Plus, you don't have anything of the sort trailing to your name.

Yeahhh.. my local grow shop has 80, 90, and 120$ bulbs, i just figured I could find something cheaper online, and as long as i'm not ordering to my grow location, and i already ahve the fixtures (only need bulb) I figured i'd be safe..

you should change your bulbs yearly or sooner according to some.
the bulbs lumens and some sort of other variable regarding output strenth/intensity is said to diminish partly 15%ish if i remember right
probly put out by the bulb makers LOL they also say the MH has less life at peak performance than the HPS too.
a good trustworthy hydroshop is your best source in my opinion also just keep attentive to your vocabulary/subject matter and you are good!!! ( those folks walk on eggshells in some municiplaties so dont mention "bad"stuff or they might kick you out!!)

safer, supports community shops, and if there is a problem....its easier/faster to fix

i got that same MH bulb from HID HUT, along with a 400 watt digital ballast... really good buy, the bulb is extremely bright, the ballast extremely cheap

The grow shop guys around here are awesome, I like them a lot, and i've given them pleanty of business over the years and different locations.. I go to them when I need something big (for support purposes mostly) but I am not a rich man, and enjoy saving money.. That being said.. i'll probably just bite the bullet and go down to the shop sometime in the upcomming week.. thanks for replies friends.

my vote goes to the local hydro shop. the extra cost, i look at as a security tax. ordering things off the net is risky IMO.

has anyone had any experience with HIDHUTs digital ballasts? man for that price i want to snag up two of those 600's!

I just ordered from HIDHUT.com. The guy responded to my emailes within 1 hour ( during business hours ) Very nice and fast shipping. It cost me $156.00 for a 400 watt Digital MH/HPS auto switch ballist and a HPS bulb. Got it in 3 days of payment. So far I am 1000% happy.

www.insidesun.com has reconditioned ballasts. 400w complete kit for $110 or something like that. I'll keep putting the cheap sites I come across up here.
