blulab combo has done fine by me and got it dirt cheap off an auction house site for next to nothing.

ive had problems breaking the glass part of the probe on the bluelabs. I had a little better luck with my Milwaukee

I used that for several months before getting a deal on my blulab
and keep it handy incase.
they are plenty accurate, after getting my blulab Ph tester and checking against my gh kit I was hitting it on the money

did you drop you probe?
I would think they're hard to break unless dropped

You could spend $25 more and get a cheap Milwaukee pH pen that would do you much better. I feel like your accuracy with any kind of color matching pH kit is probably about +/- .5-1 pH. Not as accurate as I would like.

I have had 2 Oakton pH2 meters. The first one didn't work right from day 1. The hydro shop swapped me out for a new one and it works great.

With all that I've heard about blulab though, my next meter will be a blulab product.
