best light cycle for autoflowering

Hey!. whats the best light cycle for autoflowering plants?
i had mine on for 18/6 until they started to flower. now they are 30cm heigh a couple of cm more to and now they have small balls with alot of white hair's. so i turned the light to 20/4

but is it realy more light better yeild/buds for auto once?.
i read this somewere from a random dude on a forum and i just wounder if its true... couse if it is i should do 18/6 again

from what I've read over the years it's during the dark hours of flowering when THC production is at its highest.

Also its the extended hours of darkness that increases the flowering hormone to signal it to begin flowering. Keeping the same light schedule through most of flowering is important so it won't be stressed, but nearing the last few weeks you can slightly adjust it for more or less light to speed up or slow down flowering time.

so?. do they get more thc at the darkness? is it the highest production then

The point of auto flower strains is to remove this hormone response, and instead rely on a time line to flower and finnish.

so what you mean is that the point with autoflower is that if its 1.5month for flowering until its done the point of auto is that they stick to that time?. but you dident answer me what light cycle is best

You got an answer of 18/6. You may be able to do well w/ 20/4. I can tell you from experience if you run 24 with auto's some of them will tweak out and yield nothing but a big stem and a couple of doobies, so certainly give them at least the 4 hours. The funny thing is, some auto's will flower well on 24 hours their entire life, but some will not and that is why it's probably better to play it safe. Auto's are not really stable yet, IMO.

18/6 sounds good.
Heres why I say that
Autos flower without regards to photoperiod, so no need for 12/12, but as someone said, it Does need darkness so 24/0 is out if the question
BUT light equals photosynthesis equals growth equals bigger plants

I would say 20/4 if you guys think yield will be affected at 24/0.

Have not had any experience with autoflowers but indica/sativa species will not be negatively affected whatsoever with a 24/0 light cycle.
