Best Kush to grow outdoors?

I'd like to grow some kind of kush variety or some other Indica this year outdoors in the hot hot desert. a local clone guy has OG, Bubba, Purple OG. Anyone have any thoughts of which of these varieties would fare best in the hot climate?

Security issues dictate i need a short stature, early flower variety so i figured a pure indica would be best. I'm not sure if any kush would get through 110 degree days so if not and you have an idea of another variety of Indica that is 5ft and heat tolerant i'd go elswhere to get it. Any input appreciated.. peace, cann

I would think bubba would do just fine. I know La Confidential would do good, and that is similar to bubba.

Bubba should work. I have a cold creek kush outside in flower that looked like it was enjoying itself yesterday in 107*

If you want short stature, start late in the season and put them out after August. If you had put them out in March, you'd be harvesting now before it really gets hot. Use CFL's indoors or on a cool patio to start.Window screen as shade helps during the most intense periods.

Hey cannabal

Ive spent hours reading about different kush strains over the past 2 months and i have just the opposite problem as you: I have 16 different grow holes in about 9 different spots and if i dont grow good sized plants, i dont have a lot of smoke.

A lot of the kush strains are small in stature. I grew Sensi's some years back and it grew to 5' christmas tree with 6 ozs of mediocre smoke on it

Barneys vanilla doesnt get very tall , but is quite bushy. It won a cannbis cup and was a high times strain of the year a few years ago. Violator kush is even shorter i think.

As one desert height-limited gardener to another, welcome. May I suggest you grow a variety and find out what works best for you in your area? There are a variety of techniques to inhibit vertical growth which you can deal with when you get there. Your best results will likely be with direct burial in the ground or bury your pots otherwise they will bake in the sun plus you don’t want to waste your available height with pot height. Get ready for daily watering.

Hey dude, I have six Vanilla Kush plants going right now in the Coachella Valley. If you know of the area you know it get's hot. They are coming around nice but I have had to watch out for birds which killed six originals which I didn't have covered. I think all is going to go well. 20 gallon smart pots and FF soil and all nutrients. Jon 54 :tumbleweed::plant grow::plant grow::smoweed::smoweed:
