Best HPS light for my area?

I have a grow area (Black N Decker cabinet) with the dimensions of 70X17.17X25.6 I plan on stuffing four plants in there, and running a SCROG or LSTing them, but im leaning towards LSTing them. So what would you recomend as far as lighting?

I was thinking a 250w from Discount Hydro (EconoMini Enclosed Ballast Systems) would be suitable for the area.

I'll also have a CFL or two, of 40w or greater to light areas that may need it.

Is that 70in. Height x 17.17in deep x 25.6 wide? If so a 250w will be PLENTY bright in that space. My 150w does about that area with acceptable results.

if you mean the floor space is 70" x 17.17" you need 450 watts to get 50watts per sq foot. Most poeple use 50 watts as a good minimum amount.

I think a 250HPS and a 250MH would be good to use,for a nice spectrum mix

I also use a four 23w cfl's for the corners.....two on each side. Pulled close to six (YES 6 ! !) ounces in coco/soil with pureblend pro, guano-castings tea, maxicrop and top maxx. It was bagseed too. Turned our very nice and lasted me for quite a while.

Yeah.....if thats 70 wide id be burning two 250's.

A 250w EconMini lite was purchased for the job

The order has been cancelled for that light, it was too large for our grow area. Haha.

So now we're getting 250 HPS EconoWing Grow Light as it will fit in our area.

Anyone have any ordering experience from BGHydro.com?

Bought a light & ballast from BG around Christmas time. It arrived quickly and has been running great.
